☀️ HOT WEATHER POLICY ☀️
As we head into the warmer days, I just wanted to remind everyone of my hot weather policy here at Buttons Buddies 🐾
Your dogs’ safety, health and wellbeing will always come first. When temperatures become too high, normal walks may be shortened, adapted, moved to shaded woodland areas, or cancelled altogether if I feel it is unsafe.
During very hot days, walks may instead become:
🐶 Calm enrichment visits
💦 Paddles and cooling off in the stream
🌳 Pottering in shaded woodland areas
🚰 Plenty of water breaks and rest time
There will be no forced exercise, long walks on hot pavements, or anything that could put your dog at risk of overheating.
If your dog has someone home with them walks may be canceled so I can safely prioritise Dogs who are home alone.
I know cancellations can sometimes be inconvenient, and the decision is never one I take lightly. I hate letting people down, and it also means a significant loss of income for me. However, your dogs’ safety and wellbeing will always come first, and every decision I make is with their best interests at heart. ❤️
