We’ve had quite a few new followers recently, so I thought it was the perfect time to reintroduce myself 👋
My name is Dani, and I’m the founder of Sit ’n’ Stay Pet Services, which I established back in February 2022.
From as early as I can remember, animals, especially dogs, have been a huge part of my life. Growing up, I spent a lot of time helping out at my family’s riding stables. Every visit usually involved me talking one particular horse owner’s ear off about different dog breeds and all the facts I’d learned since I last saw him. One day, he surprised me with a dog encyclopaedia, with a Post-it note in the front that read: “I hope this helps with your knowledge of all things dogs.” I still have that book to this day, and it remains very special to me.
For my 13th birthday, after years of begging, my parents finally bought me my first dog, Peppa. Six months later, Lola joined our family. Like many pet owners, whenever we wanted to go away, we had to rely on family members being available to care for them, which often placed a lot of pressure on others, or meant one of us simply stayed home. Lola was a very anxious girl and would never have coped in kennels or an unfamiliar boarding environments, requiring a lot of patience and understanding.
At the time, pet sitting wasn’t widely available (at least not to my knowledge), so I often chose to stay home with the girls. That experience planted the seed for what would later become Sit ’n’ Stay, a service where pets can remain comfortable and secure in their own homes while their owners are away, receiving dedicated, one-to-one care.
Fast forward to today, and I’m now the proud owner of two German Shepherds, who many of you will have seen across my social media.
Around five years ago, I began my dog training journey with my girl Kaiya, and it didn’t take long before I was completely hooked. Along came Ivar, my sport prospect, and together we’ve been on an incredible (and sometimes challenging!) journey. Both dogs have taught me so much, and I’m incredibly grateful to have learned from so many knowledgeable and inspiring trainers across the UK. I still continue to attend workshops, seminars and remain committed to ongoing professional development to ensure the highest standards of service.
Towards the end of 2025, I officially added dog training services to the list of services I offer. I’m now steadily growing my training client base and thoroughly enjoying supporting owners in building stronger relationships with their dogs.
