Goat Ultrasound Scanning ! 🐐🩷

A very exciting morning yesterday - Scanning day for our first lot of expectant nanny goats!
Thankyou to Ed Whiteman Ultrasound Scanning-- very much looking forward to new arrivals from early November 🥰 All have produced absolutely beautiful kids previously, so have high expectations for this year 😆

Yesterday confirmed 3 sets of twins, 2 singles and 1 empty which is a brilliant result. All bred to Crewenna Lego, our homebred long haired billy.

The second group of nanny goats, to Pearlfarm Onyx, are due to be scanned around that time too, with planned kidding for early 2027. (A bit if a change from our usual Christmas kidding!!🎄) Fingers crossed for lots of safe arrivals and smooth birthing 🤞🩷🩷🩷🐐

It appears that in addition to chicken maths, pig maths is also a thing 🤦‍♀️🐖 and yesterday we went shopping 😅
With these added to our current herd, we hope to keep a steady supply of fresh pork. Not only that, but with our breeding sows and boar, we will be able to produce our own Crewenna piglets soon 🩷🐖🩷
