🐶 Queen Betsy👑

🐾New arrivals-Welcome Trixie & her 3 babies Patch, Buttons & Lucky! Joining us for training, esp helping Buttons build confidence, reduce anxiety & reactivity around other 🐕

💙Shadow-What a transformation! From constantly hyperaroused, over threshold & unable to settle, to actually relaxing & falling asleep within days! Incredible work from Shadow & his dedicated mum 👏 He's completely besotted with my dad, although Dad could do without the enthusiastic hugs & kisses😂

💕Molly-Our beautiful gentle girl making amazing progress with settling, managing arousal & lead skills. Huge credit to Molly & her family for putting in the work!

🐶Maverick (Mav)-Our stunning new boy with those piercing eyes👁! Born the same day as my Vi-Vi, just considerably bigger 😂 Working on separation anxiety, puppy skills & socialisation. Initially unsure on his first pack walk, but his confidence blossomed & he absolutely smashed it! Well done Mav & family ❤️

🐾 Luna – Mav's gorgeous sister, mainly here for cuddles & treats!

💕 Coco – Everyone loves our little Coco! Slightly unimpressed at being kept on lead instead of running free, but absolutely perfect walking with her mates!

🐶 Amigo – Our little sweetheart enjoying his chewies before & after dropping Coco home!

❤️ Lexi – My day 1 girlie, so much calmer, more settled, responsive & brilliant on the lead! Still thinks she's the boss… until we bumped into Gigi 😂

👑 Gigi – Smallest in the pack but certainly not the most timid! Our confident little queen reminding everyone who's really in charge. Absolutely delighted to see her gang at the door!

So proud of these gorgeous animals & their families. Watching their confidence grow, friendships develop & hard work pay off is what it's all about ❤️

Okay gang, more fun, games, learning & healing from the Danni's Animals gang! 🐾❤️

More puppy group adventures with gorgeous Gigi, Lexi, Betsy, Theo, Violet & Cooper 🥰 Lots of fun, socialisation, learning & building confidence along the way!

Then we've got my beautiful Sebastian & Mabel, both continuing their own little journeys of learning, growing & making progress 💕

Of course, we can't forget the beautiful Shadow, who's continuing to work on his training & emotional regulation. So lovely having this boy back ❤️

And last but certainly not least, my very own baby Flashy 🐱❤️

Every animal is different, every journey is unique & every little step forward deserves celebrating. So proud of my gorgeous gang 🥹🐾

🐾 More incredible progress from Danni's Animals ❤️

Still catching up guys, posts in no particular order thanks to my technical dramas 😂

Watching these videos makes me beam with pride. Anxious dogs gaining confidence, reactive dogs becoming less reactive, hyperaroused dogs learning calm & managing triggers that once sent them over threshold. Forever proud ❤️

🐾 Shadow, Sebastian & Lexie – Reducing anxiety & hyperarousal, nurturing calm, confidence, independence & learning to settle. Amazing progress

🐾 Betsy – My clever, sassy, bossy girl. Hormones being managed medically while we work on appropriate play & doggy etiquette. Small but rules the roost 😂

🐾 George, Coco & Lottie – Park recall & socialisation. George's improving lead skills & arousal, Coco loves pack life so much she tried joining someone else's RV 😂 Lottie, once very dog reactive, now loves the pack but still guards her precious ball. Treats are the only way she'll drop it

🐾 Otis – Honorary pack member loving the fun. His owner inspired upcoming doggy socials in local parks. Watch this space

🐾 Amigo – Happiest chilling in his garden or man cave, enjoying cuddles & treats ❤️

🐾 Aero – My human-reactive girl welcomed me into her home for the first time, accepted treats by hand & relaxed beside me without growling. Huge breakthrough after weeks building trust. Beyond proud ❤️

🐾 Mabel – My brave, beautiful gentle giant, ignoring barking dogs, focusing on me & managing triggers. Reactivity reducing, confidence growing

❤️ Theo – Working on resource guarding with a new family-wide training plan

❤️ Violet – Intelligent, loving, calm & learning so quickly. Her family are smashing her goals. So proud of them all

These dogs aren't just learning commands, they're building trust, confidence, emotional regulation & better coping skills. Every breakthrough matters, however small

Forever proud of these incredible animals & their families. I absolutely love what I do ❤️

Nearly halloween, pumpkins, ghosts, bats, spiders, skeletons, and the rest.....spooky going on's.....
This year our Spoilt Mutt Canine Treats pumpkins have come from Trusley Pumpkin and Potato Patch Goldhurst Farm DE6 5JF .
An amazing family run farm.
And just up the road from our headquarters based in Tutbury.
Our ethos has always been about homemade dog treats with few natural local ingredients.
Our carrots are sourced from a farm in Little Hay.
Our blackberries are foraged within a mile of Tutbury.
I want to know where my food comes from, so don't you want to know where your dogs food comes from ?
We don't add additives or preservatives for a long shelf life. Our treats are made to order, or stocked with local businesses.
We are part of Made in Staffordshire , which proves we are what we say we are ! This is part of Staffordshire County Council .
Our local stockists are....... Tutbury Hound Grooming, Paws in the Park , Night Inn Craft Bar & Brewery Tap , Danni's Animals , Happy Hounds and while pumpkins last at Trusley pumpkin and potato patch.

🐾🧠 REDUCING HYPERAROUSAL & SUPPORTING THE VAGUS NERVE IN DOGS 💚

Does your dog struggle to switch off? Get overexcited easily? Struggle to settle, focus or manage their emotions?

What looks like disobedience or excessive energy can actually be hyperarousal and nervous system dysregulation.

When overwhelmed, dogs can struggle to think clearly, learn, listen and make good choices.

💚 How can we help?

The vagus nerve plays an important role in the body's rest-and-digest response, helping regulate stress and support relaxation.

🐾 Simple ways to nurture calm:

👃 Sniffing – Sniffy walks, scent games and scatter feeding.

👅 Licking & chewing – Lick mats, stuffed Kongs and appropriate chews.

💤 Rest & recovery – Quality sleep, downtime and decompression.

🏡 Safe spaces – Quiet, comfortable areas away from overstimulation.

❤️ Gentle touch – Calm affection and massage if your dog enjoys it.

🐕 Calm walks – Less rushing, more exploring and sniffing.

🧠 Mental enrichment – Gentle problem-solving and positive training.

🌿 Predictable routines – Consistency helps dogs feel safe and secure.

⭐ Reward calm – Notice and calmly reward relaxed behaviour.

These activities can support relaxation and nervous system regulation, although direct vagus nerve stimulation isn't established for all of them.

Remember, more exercise isn't always the answer! Sometimes dogs need LESS stimulation, MORE rest and help learning to switch off.

The goal isn't to suppress excitement but to help dogs manage emotions, recover from stress and feel safe enough to relax.

💚 Calm before commands. 💚 Connection before correction. 💚 Regulation before expectation.
