Monty’s first big groom 🐶💗
Meet lovely Monty, a gorgeous Cockapoo who came to see me today at 6 months old for his very first groom! ✂️🐾
Monty did incredibly well for his first experience, especially considering how much he needed to have done today. 💕 He arrived with a lot of coat to work through, so unfortunately we couldn’t do a simple puppy introduction and he needed a full groom.
I always recommend introducing puppies to grooming much sooner, ideally from around 12 weeks, with short, positive puppy introduction sessions. 🥰
These early visits are so important for helping puppies get used to the bath, dryer, clippers, scissors, being handled and all the different sights and sounds of grooming — before their coat becomes difficult to manage.
If you have a new puppy and want to get them off to the best possible start with grooming, my Puppy Intro sessions are a great way to build their confidence gradually. 🐾💗
