nced to board dogs in my home whilst you are on holiday. Providing at least two walks a day, a comfortable home environment to rest and sleep in. Not forgetting lots of attention and cuddles! Snippets from the week. Hopefully the last heatwave of the year🤞We are lucky though to have so much beach for the dogs to keep cool and the woods we have too 🌳 Also very lucky to have had my first adder encounter with no repercussions!! 🐍 😅 Cara got very close to it but thankfully she wasn’t bitten. Might avoid that walk unless it’s raining!

A few weeks back Rue’s family moved house, incredibly unfair of them given how much I adore Rue! 😢 She will be greatly missed, she’s small but her personality is oh so big! After her brother Sam the beagle sadly passed away I was asked to start walking Rue instead, I was apprehensive, my experience of dachshunds was that they didn’t particularly like exercise or any sort of bad weather! Not Rue, she was a proper adventure pup, LOVED water, ok not so fond of the heavy stuff coming from the sky but she tolerated a lot of rainy days very well providing we were having fun! I never quite learnt not to hand her treats without a flat palm 🐊 She went mad for my chicken treats! Oh Rue, my heart is still heavy at losing you, what a great dog you are and how lucky I was to spend time with you ❤️
