these two handsome boys have joined us over the last week…

🧡 reggie – sweet lil puppy lab, starting out with puppy visits, hoping to progress onto group walks
🤍 rex - the most friendly guy who can’t wait to socialise with lots of doggy friends

super happy to have these two joining, looking forward to getting to know them both better! 🫶🏽

been a super busy time between these pet sits and all of my regular walks during the day!

the social life was defo cancelled for a good while 😆 but thankfully I’ve had Lilly & Madison helping out with the dogs, which defo made it all a lot more manageable!

first walk with sweet maia today 💝

it got a bit warm on the walk, so we kept things sensible and cut the walk short, replacing the rest of the time with some enrichment activities instead.

shes a clever little sausage and flies through the enrichment, she was so switched on.
i love seeing dogs enjoy using their brains as much as their legs! looking forward to lots more walks and watching her settle into a routine. 🐾

Holiday mode: ON. ☀️🇹🇷

on monday i’m off to Turkey until the 14th of july, and while i can’t wait for a little break, i’m going to miss all of my little besties so much 🤎

i truly feel so lucky to know each and every one of them.. being trusted to care for your dogs is something i’ll never take for granted, and it’s the biggest reminder that i genuinely have the best job 🐕

“If you enjoy what you do, you’ll never work a day in your life.” 🫶🏽

a huge thank you to Lilly, who’ll be looking after everything while i’m away. i know you’re all in the best hands, and i’m so grateful to have someone i trust keeping things running until i’m back 🤎

‼️🔥 no dog has ever suffered because they missed a walk. 🔥‼️

but dogs can and do suffer from heatstroke, stress, exhaustion and other preventable welfare issues when people prioritise profit, convenience or customer expectations over common sense.

🐾❤️ Can We Normalise Not Criticising Small Businesses for Putting Welfare Before Profit? ❤️🐾

Every time a dog walker cancels a walk because it’s too hot…
Every time a groomer reschedules because the salon is unsafe…
Every time a pet professional says “No” to something that could compromise an animal’s welfare…

There seems to be someone ready to complain.

The reality is that every cancelled walk, postponed groom, or refused booking costs a small business money.

We don’t make those decisions because it’s convenient.
We don’t make them because we don’t want to work.
And we certainly don’t make them because we’re trying to be difficult.

We make them because the animals in our care cannot advocate for themselves.

No dog has ever suffered because they missed a walk.
No dog has ever been harmed because their groom was delayed a few days.

But dogs can and do suffer from heatstroke, stress, injury, exhaustion and other preventable welfare issues when people prioritise profit, convenience or customer expectations over common sense.

Small business owners who work with animals carry a huge responsibility. We see these pets as individuals, not pay cheques.

So if your dog walker, groomer, trainer, sitter or daycare provider makes a decision based on welfare, please remember:

🐾 They are likely losing income by making that choice.
🐾 They are putting your pet’s wellbeing first.
🐾 They are doing exactly what you trust them to do.

I’d much rather lose a day’s earnings than risk a dog’s health.
