We are ENORMOUSLY proud of Melissa, Maia and Becca, from Kernow Farm Vets, who last week presented two research posts at the British Cattle Veterinary Association Congress!

Their posters are the product of twelve months of data gathering and analysis and focused on the use of CIDR sync protocols in dairy heifers. The project was kindly sponsored by Zoetis and supported by our in-house diploma holder, Tracy! And of course, they couldn’t have done it without the cooperation of our fantastic dairy clients.

CIDR sync protocols were found to be an effective management tool in older heifers. Fixed time AI was shown to be good for reducing labour associated with breeding heifers; removing the need for heat detection and allowing for AI to be planned around the farm schedule.

This is an incredible achievement and we are so proud to see Cornish vetting being represented on a national level! 💪
