We are still here!

We have had a lot going on with our own horses here at High Lees. Lots of vet visits and stress, but we are still trading. (Our social media pages have suffered however.)
We appreciate every single person who has ordered, especially just recently. We have very limited stock left now at the moment but hoping to replenish it all soon, once things have settled down 😊

We've kept these gorgeous Tred Step Country boots quiet and they have been flying off our shelves! It's no surprise really when they usually retail at over £250!

The perfect fly rug for this extreme heat. Super lightweight and breathable!

We hope you and your horses are doing ok in this heat!

Here are some top tips shared by the BHS for summer management:

🐴 Keep your horses cooler by allowing cool water to flow over them either by hose or buckets. There is no need to scrape the water off
🐴 Always allow fresh drinking water and ideally situate it out of direct sunlight. Horses are less likely to drink warmed water
🐴 Put a separate bucket of water with some apple juice or mint, to encourage drinking
🐴 Fluids added to their feeds and/or soak hay/haylage
🐴 Ice lollies made from chopped apples, carrots, water and some juice
🐴 Salt licks available to replace minerals lost through sweating
🐴 Provide shade or shelter if possible
🐴 Avoid exercising or travelling in temperatures near 30°c

And lastly look after yourselves in the heat too 🙂 your horses need you 😊
