🌟 Volunteer Week 🌟

We’re celebrating the amazing ways our Reablement staff support their communities beyond work 💙

Gemma, a Senior Support Worker in the West Team, volunteers with an Under 17 Car Club, helping young people build confidence, awareness and essential road safety skills.
“I was signed up by my daughter – three years later, I’m still loving it! It’s so rewarding to help young people grow in confidence and skills.”

Supporting independence and confidence is at the heart of Reablement – both in work and in the wider community.

Reablement is a short‑term, goal‑focused service that supports adults to regain skills, confidence and independence in their own homes following illness or hospital discharge. Our teams work closely with customers, families and health professionals to support positive outcomes.

We offer a range of roles across frontline support, senior and leadership positions, therapy and business support.

Today we’re proud to mark a very special milestone – Reablement’s 8th Birthday! 🥳

Over the past eight years, our incredible teams have supported so many people to regain independence, rebuild confidence, and stay in the place they call home. 💜

💡 What is Reablement?

Reablement is a short-term, specialist adult social care service that supports individuals to regain skills, rebuild confidence, and remain independent in their own homes.

The service is delivered by Occupational Therapists and the Reablement Provider Service. The Provider Service is the team that delivers the day-to-day support in people’s homes, working closely with individuals to practise tasks, build confidence and achieve their goals.

Rather than carrying out tasks on someone’s behalf, Reablement teams encourage and enable people to do things for themselves wherever possible, promoting long-term independence and reducing the need for ongoing support.

✅ Supporting people to live safely at home

Our aim is to deliver positive outcomes by helping people regain independence and confidence following illness, injury or a change in circumstances. 💜
