A little throwback to last week when puppy Monty was making the most of the sunshine at Holt Dog Park 🐶💚

Now we’re into September and it’s back to school time already! 🎒📚 Where has the summer gone?! Wishing everyone a very happy September - here’s hoping we get a few more sunny days yet! ☀️

A little reminder while you’re enjoying the park: please remember to pick up your dog’s poo, return toys to the shelter and pop all litter in the bins provided 🗑️🐾
It helps us keep the park clean and enjoyable for everyone.

🐾 Happy International Dog Day! 🐾

A little summer appreciation post for all the gorgeous four-legged visitors who have enjoyed a run, sniff, zoom and general adventure at Holt Dog Park this month! 🐶💚

We have to say, the slightly cooler weather has been very welcome lately! 🐾

And a little reminder for our lovely village community… the Holt Village Scarecrow Trail starts this Saturday 29th August 🌾

We don’t have a scarecrow in the trail this year, but there’s still a chance to win one of our prizes! 🏆🎉 It’s such a brilliant cause for our village, so we’d really recommend getting involved, grabbing your trail map from Holt Premier Superstore or Wild Herb at The Field Kitchen and having a wander around Holt.

🐾 Sunday Spotlight: Willow’s Friday Tradition 🐾

Friday mornings are always a highlight here at Holt Dog Park, thanks to a regular visit from the lovely Willow!

Willow joins us every week alongside her mum and her little brother on his morning off from nursery. It is always a pleasure seeing them, and we love watching Willow make the most of her time in Top Paddock—sniffing, exploring, and playing safely with her family.

☀️ A Quick Note on the Recent Heatwave: We hope everyone managed to stay safe and cool. As a small business, extreme weather is always a challenging time for us, but the safety of our dogs will always be our top priority. We hope that adjusting our opening hours and session slots helped our community navigate the high temperatures safely.

Thank you all so much for your continued support—it means the world to us!

☀️🐾 Heatwave Safety at the Field 🐾☀️

With temperatures set to soar this week, we’ve extended our opening hours to **5am – 10pm** to encourage cooler, safer walks for everyone. 🌅🌙

A few important reminders:

📅 Please check the time you’ve booked and reschedule in advance if needed
🌅 Consider booking early morning or late evening sessions when it’s cooler.
💧 Fresh water is available in both fields.
💦 Splash paddling pools and cooling baths are set up in both fields to help dogs stay comfortable.
🌳 Make use of shaded areas and avoid overexertion.
🥵 Keep an eye out for signs of overheating, such as excessive panting, lethargy, or drooling, and stop play if your dog needs a break.

The field is all about fun, but safety comes first in this heat. Thank you for helping us keep tails wagging safely this week! ❤️🐾
