On the anniversary of loosing our own Bobby boy, 5 yrs ago today, Sylvie Dog has sadly crossed the bridge to meet him, along with Gemma, her wonderful predecessor.
To be there with her till she fell asleep this evening, was an absoloute honour, whilst her Mummy was unfortunately to far away in Scotland to get back whilst working.
Sylvie Dogs Mummy was one of my longest standing clients.
But more than that, she loves her dogs immensely & is also one of
Our best friends.
So very sad I was not able to groom her myself again since covid hit the world and I became to unwell to work in our salon again for the foreseeable future.
Sylvie Dog will always have a special space in Our hearts & will be missed so very much by us all.
She will always be her Uncle Terrys little sweetheart.

Rest easy now my darling.

I cringe and pray for every dog i see being thrown sticks.
Please for the safety of your dogs 🤞
Use a rubber toy stick or a suitably sized ball for the size of your dog instead.

As most of my clients are already aware, I have been out of action since March this year, due to a severe reaction to the covid vaccination.
My road to recovery has been a very painful & slow one, but we are getting there. 🦵🦵👣🦠💉🤒🤕😷
Please bare with us while we wait for various appointments & operations to be completed and recovery is stable enough that I am once again able to handle work commitments.
This will be a while yet, so please be sure & remember to book well in advance with your new groomers who ive recomended you all to.
Please stay in touch with them and give plenty notice if your not able to keep your appointments with them, as this affects the running of their already busy salons, overheads & wages, just as it would myself here.
Especially at this time of year where we are all at our busiest during the run-up to Christmas. 🐾🐾🎄🎁🎅🏼🤶🏻

I am now taking bookings for the official re-opening date for a non essential business on April Mon 12.
Please note however, this is subject to any change to the current government restriction advice.
Hopefully, we are business as usual once again, from April Monday 12.
If in the meantime though, you are genuinely struggling and don’t feel that your dog can last till then, please do not hesitate to call or text me for advice and I will discuss with you to see if you are at a stage now, that warrants the Welfare Groom.

So many of my fellow groomers are struggling financially.
Yet the powers that be see fit that we are an open business and dont need any financial help.
We are not business as usual. Just as takeaways and restaurants are not business as usual, yet they can all serve takeaways and still get the LRSG grant. We groomers are not able to earn a living - yet some councils say we are open and we dont need the financial help. Get your act together Rishi Sunak
and make all councils pay the same grant - just like your own constituency dog groomers received & treat all professional dog groomers in every council in the UK fairly and help them to survive financially too.
Why is it still a postcode lottery for our sector 🤨🤨🤨🤨🤷🏻‍♀️

DOG groomers, who have seen their earnings devastated due to lockdown restrictions are calling on the government to do more to help them.

Just a quick update for our all clients re grooming appointments.
Im waiting for more official advice on re- opening first before I can offer any regular grooming appointments - to any of our exsisting clients. I will still not be taking on any new clients at this time.
Feb Mon 15 is a date I *MAY* consider opening the salon, to start doing some clients for welfare grooms *ONLY* as this will be roughly 6-8 weeks since everyone had their lasts grooms with me before Xmas or the first few days in Jan before I was mandated to close due to the increased risks of the Covid-19 pandemic - except for Welfare grooms only by the Canine Feline Sector Group.
If clients are able, I am officially required to ask you to put off a visit to me unless absolutely necessary at this time.
These grooms can only be offered if I consider the health & welfare of the dogs will be put at risk if not fully groomed.
So long as you keep your dogs well groomed at home on a regular basis, keep them clean, check the hygiene areas regularly and comb and brush those particular areas on a daily basis, they will fine, 🐩🦮
albeit a tad more hairy 🐾🐾🤷🏻‍♀️💜
Dogs nails will need regular walking on pavements to help the nails stay naturally at a length to allow them to walk correctly.
I will be in touch with our existing client list as soon as I know more.
In the meantime, please keep up the good work your all doing of grooming your dogs at home.
Its not ideal I know, but I am not willing to risk the health of any of our clients, myself or my family.
I know you are all hoping for appointments asap.
Appointments will be offered to clients dogs with difficult double coated breeds & long or very thick or wool coats first.
