Meet Elfie.

Elfie’s owners brought her to us after noticing unusual breathing. Following investigations, she was diagnosed with congestive heart failure (CHF).

Thankfully, with the right treatment, Elfie is already improving. You can see the difference in her breathing from the first clip to the last in this video.

Signs of CHF can include:
• Fast or difficult breathing
• Lethargy or weakness
• Reduced appetite or weight loss
• A swollen abdomen
• Pale or blue gums

If you notice changes in your cat’s breathing, please contact your vet promptly.

We’re so pleased to see Elfie doing better. 💚

At Beech House, we treat every pet as if they were our own. 💚

Handsome Pluto visited us recently for his castrate, and our team made sure he received plenty of cuddles, reassurance and fuss to help him feel as happy and comfortable as possible throughout his stay.

Making every visit as stress-free as we can is all part of the care we provide, because your pet deserves the best.

A little throwback to June, when Polly, Ingrid and Ingrid's puppy, Posy, from our Brackley practice spent the day at the Evenley Dog Show.

One of the highlights of the day was seeing Polly step into the judging ring alongside TV's Graeme Hall, The Dogfather! It was a real privilege to judge the event and an experience she won't forget.

It was lovely catching up with familiar faces, meeting plenty of new ones, and, of course, saying hello to lots of four-legged visitors (Posy included!).

If you're organising a community event and think we could support you, we'd love to hear from you. 💚

Chickens... we just can't get enough of them! 💙

Cissy visited us back in June for a follow-up after being treated for sour crop and aspiration pneumonia.

Sour crop is a condition where food gets stuck in a bird's crop instead of moving through the digestive system, causing the crop to become enlarged. Without treatment, the food can ferment, leading to irritation, infection, and making the bird very unwell.

We're so pleased to say she's made a fantastic recovery and is back to her happy, clucky self. ❤️

Could this be the smallest patient we've ever treated? Well... it definitely was for Charlotte!

This adorable Silkie chick was just 7 days old when she came to see us after being accidentally sat on by her much larger foster mum, leaving her with an injured wing.

After receiving some gentle treatment, she's recently been back for a recheck and she's making great progress with her recovery.

It's always such a privilege to care for patients of every shape and size... even the tiniest ones!
