We can make adjustments to keep cool in warm weather - like extra shades, playing in the paddling pool, ice blocks and fans.

But sometimes it’s even too hot for that and so to keep all the pups safe we swap to home visits instead of walks/play sessions. 🫠☀️

Thank you to all my fabulous clients for working with me this week. It’s not easy for anyone in this heat.

🐾 More Than Just Play Equipment 🐾

Let’s deep dive into……

The A-frame.

One of the features in our secure field is this simple A-frame structure — and while it might just look like a wooden shelter, it offers lots of enrichment opportunities for the dogs who visit!

🐕 Confidence Building & Climbing
For dogs who enjoy exploring, climbing up the frame helps develop balance, coordination and body awareness. It encourages them to think, problem-solve and build confidence in a safe environment.

🌳 A Shady Rest Spot
On warmer days, the sheltered space underneath provides a cool, shaded area where dogs can take a break, relax and watch the world go by.

🦴 Mental Enrichment
The frame can also be used as an enrichment station. We can hang treats, toys or scent items from it, encouraging dogs to use their natural sniffing, searching and problem-solving skills.

🐾 Choice & Exploration
Not every dog uses the equipment in the same way – and that's exactly the point. Some climb it, some hide underneath it, some investigate every inch of it, and some simply use it as a meeting point with their friends. Giving dogs opportunities to make their own choices is a valuable form of enrichment in itself.

It's amazing how a simple structure can provide exercise, stimulation, confidence building and relaxation all at the same time!

🐾 Big things have been happening behind the scenes at Paws To Play... 🐾

You may have noticed we've been a little quieter than usual recently... that's because we've been busy working on an exciting new project!

We're delighted to announce that Paws To Play now has exclusive use of a secure private field, creating a fantastic new space for dogs to enjoy exercise, enrichment, play and socialisation in a safe and controlled environment.

This dedicated space will allow us to offer:
🐕 Secure off-lead freedom in a fully enclosed environment
🐾 Enrichment activities to stimulate both body and mind
🌿 A calm, private setting away from busy roads, traffic and distractions
🎾 Confidence-building opportunities and structured play
👥 Carefully managed groups suited to individual dogs
❤️ More personalised experiences tailored to each dog's needs

This is just the beginning. Over the coming weeks we'll be continuing to develop the field, adding new features and enrichment opportunities to make it even more exciting for the dogs who visit.

We'll be sharing regular updates and photos so you can follow the journey and see how the space evolves.
