Well I had a lovely time looking after these guys. First time looking after ducks and ive got to say they're great (i would now love to have ducks 😆). They had me laughing everyday. Poised and ready for me to let them out and greeting me with lots of "quacks". Not sure if it was annoyance or approval but they did make me chuckle as they waddled out together. No sooner had I filled the pool with lovely fresh water they would dive right in and make it a mud bath. I could have watched them for hours tbh fascinating and so full of character, a mix of sass, comedy and pure innocence. Lively girls.

Trigger warning, pet loss.

As a pet sitter it always incredibly tough and upsetting when any of the pets we look after pass away. Sadly when you have been doing this job as long as we have its inevitable, but it never gets easier when we hear from clients that any pet has passed over the rainbow bridge.

We really get to know your pets on our visits and treat them like our own with love and genuine care.

This May half term was devasting for us, as we lost one of the pets we have looked after for many years. She had been poorly for a while, and even though we all knew it, it never makes it any easier when their time comes especially when family are on holiday.
We were with little Pumpkin when she needed us most and I will be eternally grateful that we were able to get her the help she needed when she needed it most. Also privileged that we could be there as a comfort and to get photos and liase with her family.

Its the side of the job not many people talk about. Its sad its upsetting and its devastating. This isn't just a job to us its our passion and we genuinely care for all the animals in our care.

Little Pumpkin was a sweet little soul, a beautiful cat inside and out, who loved a good fuss, a sunbathe and a little natter about your day, well she certainly humoured us. She was a good listener and a perfect little lady, gentle, calm and loved.

We're sending lots of love to her family at this very difficult time. We know she will leave a huge hole in their lives.

A big thank you to Peak Vets and Vets Now attercliffe for all their support and seeing her so quickly too and helping to make the process a little gentler for her family and tbh us too.

Pumpkin thank you for all the years of getting to know you, for listening to our ramblings and for the sweet meows. Sleep tight beautiful ❤️

B is a Beautiful friendly boy, always comes to greet me at the front door at every visit. He paws at the door to help get it open sometimes as well. Follows me round the whole time, my little shadow, love spending time with him. He is great company. So loving and loves the attention he gets! If I get the brush out, he responds by laying on his back, if I get the toys out he immediately goes into pounce mode for the “prey”. Once he is bored of either of these activities he gets on the boxes in the hall and has a wash! 🤣🤣
Proper character and a joy to come and visit 🐈 😻 🐈‍⬛️

Wow Wow Wow

What a May half term that was!! Im so incredibly proud of our little team and the business we have built and continue to build and improve.
We literally put our all into this but can honestly say all the long hours and hard work is worth it. Thank you to all of you for your support.

This week we have been exceptionally busy, 16 hours one day! We have had some tough things to deal with throughout the week, not helped by the weather, but we pulled together and we did it.

So a big thank you to Erin and John and a big thank you to all of you. Kind words, thank yous, gifts, cards and thoughtfulness has gone a long way this week.

I will also say thank you to our son Joshua who has basically been the next employee in training, as he took on the role of looking after all of our animals 😆

Apologies to those still awaiting responses to messages. We are currently exceptionally busy and the heat the last few days has increased our workload ensuring all animals are coping okay.

I will respond, its just taking a lot longer than usual.

WhatsApp or phone calls are best as my messages dont always come through.

Anything urgent feel free to message again with URGENT at the beginning of the message.

I know we shouldnt moan, but its a bit hot!
We are making sure all your pets are coping well and taking extra precautions to keep them safe.
Luckily no dog walks till Friday when it looks to be a bit cooler.

Just look at that face!!
I had a lovely overnight stay with the very gorgeous L. From the moment i went in he was full of love, fusses and lots of facial expressions too 😆.
He was such a good boy! Perfectly behaved and wonderful company.

Morning. We are extremely busy now until after the school holidays. As we prioritise our visits and time spent with your pets we may be a bit slower to respond to messages. Please bare with us and we will respond asap.

As always we will closely monitor the weather. On days which are set to be hot we will make arrangements to move walks to early mornings where possible. When this is not possible we can provide a home visit for a garden pit stop and company for the duration the walk would have taken place. Alternatively you will also have the option to cancel or rearrange a walk.

We will not take any risks with the dogs in our care, their safety is our number one priority.

This weather coming up is looking VERY HOT🥵 . No dog should be walked in this weather unless VERY early in the morning!!! Heat stroke does kill and we see it every year…. Please be responsible and leave the pups at home 🏡.
