Today we celebrate 4 years since opening the doors of Oxford House Veterinary Clinic! 🎉
We owe so much to the dedication and hard work of our team. Our shared goal continues to be a Vets dedicated to Tonypandy and the surrounding areas, the community that we grew up in and that helped shape us. To our clients, thanks so much for your incredible support, the cards, flowers, chocolates, biscuits and kind messages, but most of all for trusting us with your wonderful animals. It is for them that we started on this adventure and for them that we continue.

Cat brought into clinic🐈‍
We've had a lovely ginger and white complete male cat brought into the clinic without a Microchip found in Wattstown. He's very friendly and very chatty.
If this is your cat please get in touch either by calling on 01443 711644 or emailing us at [email protected].

In the coming days the thermostat will be turned up in South Wales, whilst some will be enjoying the sun with a Margherita in the garden, unfortunately our furry friends may not be as comfortable.
Whilst we are open as normal (with the shutters down to keep the heat out), we implore you all to take precautions to make sure your pet is comfortable and safe. If you would feel more comfortable rearranging your consult with us, please do so and we'll be happy to see your Pet when it's cooler.
We would urge any brachycephalic dogs (Frenchie's, pugs etc) to rearrange consults and keep indoors, any pets with heart issues, or breathing issues should rearrange consults and find a comfortable spot on the settee to wait out the heat.
Thank you, and remember to keep those water bowls topped up!

Yesterday celebrated International Nurse Day. We want to take the opportunity to thank our wonderful veterinary nurses (and Animal Care Assistants!) who help patients day in and day out. With endless compassion and energy, they care for our patients before and after procedures, often working long hours and staying late to see them through emergency surgeries. Our nurses, past and present, are icons. We value them immensely and can't thank them enough for everything they do.

Wishing all our clients and their pets a wonderful Easter break! Please note we will be closed on Friday 3rd April and will reopen on Tuesday 7th April.
We have recently switched our out of hours cover to Cardiff Veterinary Centre, so please make a note of this for any urgent concerns over the bank holiday.
As always, we recommend using VidiVet in the first instance available 24/7, 365 days a year, it could save you an unnecessary trip to an out of hours clinic. You can sign up and find further details on our Emergency Contact page at oxfordhousevets.co.uk.

Recently we had the absolute pleasure of welcoming Kanga and Dooky into clinic for the day to be spayed. They were both so sweet and so much fun that we didn't want to give them back! 🥰
