🐴 Sometimes the best thing you can do in training is hand over the reins.

Yesterday, Clare handed Tilly's reins to Bethan.

Good training isn't about creating a horse that only works for one person. It's about developing a horse that is confident, educated, and understands the job in front of them, whoever is in the saddle.

Tilly took it all in her stride, reminding us that the real goal is a horse that responds to clear, consistent aids rather than familiarity with just one rider.

At TDS, we're incredibly lucky to have a team of sympathetic, knowledgeable riders who all bring something different to the horses' education.

🌿🐴 Wellness Through Horses: Taster Session ☕

Tuesday 23rd June 1pm-2pm

Join us for a gentle introduction to the calming benefits of spending time with horses. No riding and no horse experience required.

During this 1-hour session, you'll enjoy:
✨ Grounding Together
Learn simple techniques to help you slow your breathing, become more present, and discover how horses respond to calm energy as you practise grounding alongside them.
✨ Mindful Grooming & Connection
Spend quiet time grooming a horse, noticing their reactions, focusing on the present moment, and experiencing the soothing benefits of horse interaction.
Afterwards, stay for an optional coffee and chat with the group. ☕

Suitable for: Adults aged 18+
Experience needed: None
What to wear: Comfortable clothing and sturdy, closed-toe footwear.

Come as you are, take a breath, and discover how an hour with horses could leave you feeling calmer, more connected, and recharged for the week ahead.

This is a free taster session run by TDS Riding Club, for anyone struggling with loneliness, social anxiety & low self-esteem.
