Please be aware roadworks have now started on the improvements to the A52 & A606 junctions at both Nottingham Knight and Wheatcroft islands. These works are ongoing until 2029 🤦🏻♀️.

⚠️ A52 NOTTINGHAM JUNCTIONS - UPCOMING UTILITIES WORK AND ROAD CLOSURES ⚠️
We're continuing to prepare for the A52 Nottingham junctions scheme, which will deliver major improvements at Wheatcroft and Nottingham Knight junctions.
To enable the main construction works, utility companies will begin diverting services at Wheatcroft junction from Monday 7 September 2026. These works are expected to continue for around three months with lane closures in place from Monday to Friday.
Here's what's happening:
📅 Monday 21 September (8am) to Friday 25 September (6pm)
A section of Flawforth Lane where it joins the A52 at Wheatcroft Junction will be fully closed.
📅 Friday 25 September to Monday 28 September 2026 🕗 8pm to 6am each night
Part of the A52 (Gamston Link Road) at Wheatcroft Junction will be closed overnight. The road will reopen during the day between closures.
➡️ Signed diversion routes will be in place.
⚠️ Traffic management, including lane closures and a temporary 40mph speed limit, will also be in place on sections of the A52 while work is carried out.
