Little Helga thinks Primula makes life better in every way!

Meet the newest member of the Moo Dog family… 🩷

Helga Worra Bostin Wammel by Moofor

Yes… it’s a mouthful. And yes… every single part means something! 🩷

For anyone not fluent in Black Country:
🐾 Worra = “what a”
🐾 Bostin = brilliant, amazing
🐾 Wammel = a delightfully daft, mischievous character!

So, her name pretty much translates to…

What a bostin little wammel! 😆

And after only a few days, I’d say she’s already living up to it. Whether she’s charging around the garden at full speed, proudly parading her latest “treasure” (usually something she definitely shouldn’t have!), or making us laugh every five minutes, she’s bringing so much joy into our lives.

She’ll have some very big paws to follow, but she’s not here to replace anyone. She’s here to write her own story, and I can’t wait to share that journey with you all.

Welcome to the world, little Grogu… sorry… Helga Worra Bostin Wammel by Moofor 🩷

Some stories don’t end…….

They simply make room for another to begin…..

For the last few weeks, our home has felt quieter than I ever imagined it could

Losing Lazarus has left an emptiness that words will never truly describe

There will only ever be one Laz, and there will never be another dog like him and that’s how it should be!

He was an individual soul, a beautiful boy who made my world special and as his chapter closed another began….

I had hoped he would be here to greet her, and truthfully he was as he came home the night before she arrived, as if they were ships passing in the night nodding their sails to each other across the dark seas. Never to meet but knowing they were both there sailing past each other and making room for each other in the vastness of my heart

So as one chapter closes another has gently begun…….

Meet Helga 🩷

Please don’t ever think she is here to replace Lazarus, because nobody ever could!

She isn’t filling the hole he left behind, instead she is creating her own place in our family, and one day she’ll have her own stories to tell, her own adventures to go on, and hopefully she’ll touch as many lives as my old boy did!

In many ways, it feels as though Lazarus prepared us for this moment……

He taught me patience…..

He taught me resilience……

He taught me that the greatest dogs aren’t the easiest ones, they are the ones who change who you are!

Everything I know, everything I teach, and so much of who I am and what Moo Dog has become been shaped by dogs like him and he has taught me how to help so many nervous dogs that now live full and confident lives!

But now it’s Helga’s turn……

Not to follow in his footsteps…

…but to leave paw prints of her own on my heart…..

Over the coming months I’ll be sharing the reality of raising a puppy.

The good days…..

the difficult days….

The training…..

The mistakes (yep we all make them even us professionals!)

The breakthroughs and everything in between……

No filters, no pretending it’s always easy, because my life less than 24 hours in I remember suddenly just how hard it is…..

….just real life with a puppy and a household full of dogs!

And if Lazarus taught me anything, it’s this…

Don’t wish the days away…..

The sleepless nights will end…..

The sharp puppy teeth will disappear…..

The chaos will settle….

Grey hairs will arrive far too quickly…..

Before you know it, you’re wishing for just one more walk, one more cuddle, one more chance to tell them they were the best dog in the world!!!!

So we’re going to enjoy every single moment!

Welcome to the family, little Helga, you have a lot of soul and a lot of sass and that’s what we need in our lives (even if we forget that when we are tired 😆)

One day I will tell you all about the incredible dog who came before you…..Lazarus…my best boy….my soulmate and all those before him who have shaped me into who I am today….

To all of my dogs who are now running over rainbow bridge.

Thank you for making me and all those at home with me the family she was coming home to 🖤

It appears Helga has officially earned herself a nickname…

Grogu!

This morning I looked around in the garden to see this tiny little puppy charging around like she’d just conquered the galaxy, looking ridiculously proud of herself!

“What have you got there?” I asked…..

Big mistake……

It was a dead frog!!! 🐸💀

Not a leaf!!

Not a stick!!

Not one of her many, many toys!!!

A dead frog!!!!! 😱😱😱

She carried it around like it was the greatest prize she’d ever won, tail wagging, chest puffed out, completely oblivious to the fact that I was following behind her shouting

HELGA… DROP IT!!!! (As if at 8 weeks she knows what means!)

Needless to say, she thought this was the greatest game ever……

A few weeks ago I wasn’t sure when I’d genuinely laugh again. Losing Lazarus left a hole in my heart that will never truly be filled, and I still miss my beautiful boy every single day!

But this tiny little gremlin, with her ridiculous antics and questionable choice of garden treasures, is gently stitching my heart back together

She’ll never replace Lazarus, because nobody ever could

She’s simply reminding me that, even in the middle of grief, there is still room to laugh!

Although… I’d really appreciate it if her next treasure was a tennis ball instead of wildlife. 🤢😂💚

I have a feeling life with Grogu is going to be one wild adventure!

Our boy is home. 🤍

Not with his slow, steady walk, his gentle eyes or his wagging tail, but in the smallest box imaginable.

His ashes now sit back where he belongs, surrounded by the family that loved him beyond words.

It’s strange how something can bring both comfort and heartbreak at the same time.

Part of me feels a little more settled knowing he’s home again. Another part still catches itself expecting to hear him shuffle across the floor or waiting for him to appear around the corner.

Grief isn’t a straight line. Some moments are filled with smiles as we remember the wonderful life he lived, and others hit just as hard as they did on that first day.

Thank you to everyone who has sent messages and kind words. Every single one has meant more than you’ll ever know.

Lazarus wasn’t “just a dog.” He was family.

He shaped the dogs we have today, helped countless others through Moo Dog, and left paw prints that will never fade.

Sleep peacefully, my beautiful boy.

You’re home now. Always loved. Never forgotten. 🤍🐾

This is so amazing to read!

When I first met Blue she couldn’t cope at all with people, dogs or pretty much anything and today here she is totally rocking her vet visit!

So proud of Ryan and Blue for all the hard work and dedication they have put in!

https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1GVdjM1yZX/?mibextid=wwXIfr

Today we're celebrating Blue, who has been coming to see us since she was 4 months old.

Blue has really struggled with coming in to the vets, as she isn't too keen on people or dogs that she doesn't know. But thanks to a lot of hard work from her owner, and a lot of bribery from the team here, we are building up her confidence, and today she coped brilliantly!

If you need any help/guidance with your pet please don't hesitate to get in touch!

Well done Blue and co. 👏👏👏👏👏

Wait for it…….. that side eye! 😱

Today reminded me exactly why I love what I do!

Our Canine Confidence: Countryside Walk Workshop at .cotwallend was a huge success! From emus and sheep to donkeys, horses, birds of prey and more, every dog learnt to stay calm, focused and make great choices in real-life situations.

The biggest takeaway? Collaboration. Working alongside Brockswood Animal Sanctuary and Chris from CWB dog training meant we could offer an experience that simply can’t be recreated on a training field!

When trainers work together instead of competing, everyone benefits, especially the dogs. 🐶

So proud of every handler and dog today. Bring on the next one!
