You know, sometimes I still can't believe I have my very own Border Terrier - or even a dog 🤣🫣 it really was a dream of mine for like 15 years. It was a inside joke that I was the only groomer without their own dog.

Then when I opened Darling Dog Spa I knew this was my chance because id be home more.
Then we got Kelbi and our quiet zen lives got turned upside down. She's just hilarious, spicy, cuddley, stubborn, velcro, loving girl.

I look at her every day and tell her how much I love and appreciate her - my husband and son just look at us like we have 3 heads.

Honestly warms my heart beyond belief.
I've known this customer and groomed her previous dog for 15 years, then came along whirlwind Tilly. I will admit I've never known a puppy like her - strong willed like I've never seen before.
The first few times I met Tilly I couldn't even trim her eyes a tiny bit. I had to admit defeat by a tiny puppy 🤣 but with the hard work and perseverance from her mummy getting her used to it and trimming bits off her eyes at home we started to be able to make progress in the salon.. it's been slow progress and we still have a long way to go but my goodness I could just feel and see Tilly was trying her old tricks but soon stopped and realised " oh wait I'm okay, I'm safe" she let me do trimming today that she hadn't previously and im so proud of her.
Grooming is a life long thing for a dog and as a groomer it's our job to make sure we make it as nice as possible for the dogs and I hope that one day Tilly will be fully confident having her face trimmed and her owner and I will laugh about the good ol' days when she was a puppy. Fingers crossed anyway 🤣🥰
