🐴 Extra pair of hands wanted on the yard! 🐴

I’m looking for someone who might have a spare 2–3 hours on a Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday to help out on the yard and exercise a few horses.

My current freelance help is going to be off work for at least a couple of months due to personal reasons, so I’m looking for someone reliable who could lend a hand for a few hours a day.

The main job would be riding youngsters and helping with breakers, as well as general help around the yard.

Must be a lightweight, quiet and confident rider, with experience handling and riding young horses.

We have a space now available for groundwork/backing/schooling or sales/competition livery.
We put a large emphasis on groundwork, desensitising, long reining out and about on the farm, and hacking, using a mix of both natural and more traditional methods.
Ample turnout available, including 24/7 if preferred.
Experienced riders, we can take ponies from 12.2hh upwards.

Freddie - first time out jumping today, he didn’t look at a thing and showed plenty of talent 🌟 15hh rising 7yr old registered Connemara gelding by Ross Fear Bui. Message me for more details.

Charlie

LHC 148cm, but he takes the leg well and would be very full up. 10yr old buckskin, registered Connemara gelding.

Charlie is a lovely pony to have around, good to catch/box/shoe/clip etc, he is not bothered about being left by himself in the slightest.

Charlie has 3 correct paces, and really enjoys jumping, he doesn’t look at anything and goes off any stride. He can be a bit of a cheeky chappy so wouldn’t suit a novice/inexperienced rider, but is a really fun pony for someone competent. He can occasionally throw a buck, but we have found with more consistent work (5x per week) he hasn’t bucked at all.

Charlie hacks really nicely both alone and in company, he’s not phased by traffic and is good in open spaces.

Charlie has been with us for schooling for 6 weeks where he has come on nicely, and is very much a yard favourite. We are looking for an active, competitive home for Charlie, where he can go out and have lots of fun whilst being someone’s best friend. For ⛵️ on behalf of a client.

Now that Solo has gone off to her new home, I have one space available for livery, either schooling, competing, breaking or ⛵️
Event rider with lots of experience producing young horses. We use a mix of both natural and traditional methods, and can offer ample turnout. Regularly competing BE, BD and riding club.
