Gary for lease / loan to a very special rider to stay at April Farm.
13hh Registered Welsh Sec B. 10yrs. Gary has been with his current owner since a 4 yr old and is now looking for his next rider. Gary has done a bit of everything but still with relatively low miles on the clock. He is great to hack alone or in company and in open spaces.
He is a very kind and honest pony, ridden in a snaffle bridle. The last couple of years he has been ridden by an 11/12 yr old who has done PC, showing, dressage, showjumping and eventing. Gary is very consistent in dressage, always in top places and has qualified and competed at the PC Regional Champs at Bicton for the last two years in the PC80 Dressage. This year he also qualified in the 60cm SJ.
He did his first cross country schooling which he took to straight away jumping ditches, steps, water, hedges etc and then completed his first ODE at the Area 14 unafiliated Championships at Bovington where he led after dressage and SJ but one green/distracted stop cross country placed him 9th. Gary is a quality athletic pony who rides bigger than his 13hh and we feel he will really excel at mini eventing next next year and would also be great for NSEA dressage and showjumping. He would suit a competitive child who wants a pony to progress together.
Gary is available to loan/lease to the right person to stay at April Farm with use of all the wonderful facilities.
A financial contribution will be required and there is lots of flexibility as to the type of package. ie. full/part livery inclusive of all hay/feed physio, farrier and even use of 3.5 ton lorry! BS Coach Sharon Quant Showjumping coach available onsite for training and support.
This can all be discussed further in person. In addition his owner would also pay his teeth, vaccinations, liability Insurance (with NPS membership)
Vices:
- bangs stable door at feed time
- can get tense in busy warm ups with everyone scooting round in different directions, doesn't appreciate 'shouty'parents. This is easily handled by a competent rider and for a more inexperienced ones can easily be managed.
