Taking It Slow 🐾
Some dogs need a little more time, patience and reassurance — and that’s absolutely okay. 🤍
Today I worked with a nervous dog, so rather than rushing through the groom, we took everything at their own pace. Lots of gentle reassurance, calm handling, breaks when needed, and plenty of positive encouragement.With just a wash and brush.🫧
As a 1-to-1 groomer, I only have one dog with me at a time, which means there’s no busy salon environment, other dogs or unnecessary distractions. I can give each dog my full attention and, most importantly, the time they need to feel safe.
Building trust is just as important to me as the finished groom. My goal is never to simply “get the job done” it’s to help each dog feel as comfortable, confident and secure as possible. 🐶✨
Slow and steady really does win the race. 🤍
