Oh no! 🤦🏻‍♀️I didn’t read the instructions regarding what to do if they come into contact with water!! I started the walk with 2 shepherds - one black & tan and one sable 🙄

Annie terrier watched me ‘load’ the treat ball and then happily kicks it about (albeit a bit slower these days at 11years old) to get out what she saw go in!!

Almost all animals exhibit contrafreeloading - including rats, birds, monkeys, and dogs. Funnily enough, the only major animal species known to consistently refuse to contrafreeloading is the domestic cat! (outwardhound.com) I can believe it!! 🐈

Please be careful if you need to take your dogs in the car folks. Even when it’s only cloudy it’s very warm in a car with just an inch of window open. Our dogs can’t sweat as easily as us …..they need to pant.

Once the air around them gets too hot:

* Panting stops being effective
* Body temperature rises rapidly
* Heatstroke can begin in minutes

Please be careful.

The situation at Hatton Boarding Kennels is an absolute disgrace! Trusted by many people - no idea why - where were the professional bodies that were supposed to protect our dogs from this horrendous outcome?! Please help stop this happening again.

We want the government to review and strengthen legislation and licensing requirements for dog daycare, boarding, walking, and training services. Promote responsible business practices and provide dog owners with the reassurance that anyone caring for their pet meets the highest welfare standards.

Annie is waiting for her neighbour 🐕 to come out to play so they can both have a good bark! She’s a terrier. She needs a bark - it enriches her life! (Luckily she will stop when I chat to her about it…..then the human neighbours don’t get cross! ) 🐾 🐾
