🚨 Not my average Sunday morning 🚨

Gorgeous boy Harry managed to get himself covered in engine oil, god only knows where from, leaving his owner understandably very, very worried about what to do next!

Thankfully I was around and got him in immediately on Sunday morning to get him bathed, SIX times, dried, groomed and cuddled 🥰❤️

He was an absolute diamond, and the video at the end shows his appreciation and happiness with his purrs 🥹🥰

✨ Did you know I offer emergency cat grooming? ✨

Whether your cat has got into something they shouldn’t, has become severely matted or finds themselves in a situation where urgent grooming is needed, I will always do my best to help where I can ❤️

Genuine emergencies will always be prioritised where my availability allows and I am absolutely more than happy to be of assistance 🥰

⚠️ Please remember that cats exposed to potentially toxic substances, including engine oil, may also require veterinary attention ⚠️

“If I had a pound for every time I heard ‘but don’t cats groom themselves’…” 😂

They absolutely do, but self grooming has its limits.

Loose undercoat can build up, tangles can tighten, claws can become overgrown and some cats simply struggle more with coat care than others.

That’s where professional grooming can help. ✨

Some cats need very little intervention, while others need regular maintenance to keep them comfortable and prevent problems developing.

Every cat is different, every coat is different and every grooming routine will be different too 🐱

🐾 Grooming is about so much more than just brushing fur! 🐾

Today, during a grooming appointment, I discovered an open wound hidden beneath a cat’s matted coat.

It’s an important reminder that grooming isn’t just about appearance. It can help uncover hidden wounds, skin irritation, parasites, lumps and other concerns that owners may not even know are there.

As professional groomers, we don’t diagnose, but we can find and recognise when something isn’t right and recommend veterinary attention.

Cat & rabbit grooming is about comfort, care welfare, it is not just about having a pretty coat!
