What an amazing day at the Coventry Invert Show! 🖤🕷️

A massive THANK YOU to everyone who came to visit Occult Exotics — whether you stopped to chat, browse, say hello or purchased something from us. 🥹

Seeing familiar names become actual faces was especially lovely!

Also a big thank you to Rebecca North! Couldn’t have managed the table without you!

I’m absolutely shattered 😂 but incredibly grateful for all the support. You guys made the day! 🖤

Had a teeny tiny visitor in the office today! 🥹🕷️

A gorgeous little zebra jumping spider popped in to say hello and obviously I couldn’t resist letting them have a wander on my hand. 🖤

Apparently even when I’m at work, I still end up with spiders 😂

The jumping spider babies have some ridiculously cute new pots 🥹🐻🖤

The lids have tiny bear ears… and this little Phidippus regius has apparently decided the ear makes the perfect private dining room 😂🪰🕷️

I can’t cope with how cute this is!

🕷️🖤 LESS THAN ONE WEEK TO GO! 🖤🕷️

The countdown is well and truly ON… 👀

This time next week the Central Invertebrate Show Invert Shows UK will be over and I’ll probably be exhausted, surrounded by unpacking and wondering why I put myself through it. 😂

But right now… SHOW PREP! 😵‍💫🕷️

I’ve been busy behind the scenes getting everyone sorted, potted up and ready, organising stock and attempting to work my way through the ever-growing list of things I still need to do. 😂

And just LOOK at that trader list! 👀 There are going to be so many amazing sellers there — I’m not sure whether being behind a table is going to protect my bank account or make things worse. 🤣💸

And of course, Occult Exotics will be there! 🕷️🙌🏼

Just look for the unnecessarily enormous banner… you genuinely won’t be able to miss me. 😂😂

Come over, have a nose at what I’ve brought and most importantly COME AND SAY HELLO! 🥰 I’d absolutely love to put some faces to the names I see interacting with the page.

👀 Who’s coming?! And what are you hoping to find at the show?

The Gandanameno girls are officially getting ready for Coventry! 👀🖤

Everyone is now potted up ready for the show — complete with moss and cute little mushroom decorations, because apparently even temporary show accommodation needs to look pretty 😂🍄🕷️

Just 13 seconds of Gandanameno velvet spider appreciation 🖤🕷️

Tiny babies, gorgeous juveniles and beautiful adults — I absolutely love this species!

Judging by my camera roll, I may be slightly obsessed 😂

Any other Gandanameno lovers here? 👀

Look closely… there really is a spider in there! 😂🕷️

Tiny spider. BIG dinner. 🖤

🕷️ REHOMES & SAFE SURRENDERS 🕷️
A safe place if circumstances change.

Sometimes life changes. Circumstances change. And sometimes, for whatever reason, you can no longer care for your invertebrates.

Occult Exotics is happy to offer a small-scale rehoming service where I have the space and ability to help. 🖤

✨ No judgement.
You don’t need to explain or justify your circumstances.

🏠 Safe temporary or permanent homes.
I keep spare enclosures available where possible so that I can help when needed.

🕷️ What happens to them?
Depending on the animal and circumstances, they may stay permanently with me or, once settled and assessed, be offered to a suitable experienced keeper.

🔒 Confidential.
I won’t publicly name or identify anyone surrendering an animal.

💰 No surrender fee.
I won’t charge you for taking an animal in. I simply ask that arrangements are made to get them safely to me.

❤️ Welfare comes first.
I can only accept animals when I have appropriate space, housing and the ability to care for them properly.

This is a small-scale independent rehoming service and Occult Exotics is not a registered charity or rescue organisation.

If circumstances change and you need somewhere safe for your inverts, please feel free to message me. 🖤

No judgement. No surrender fee. Just a safe place when one is needed.

Who might be joining me at the Coventry Invert Show? 👀🕷️

These are just 2 of the many Phidippus regius Florida babies that might be making the trip with Occult Exotics! 🖤

Baby #1: lovely little model 🥹
Baby #2: PLACES TO BE. 😂💨
