It's been eight years since Fetch began.

I was stuck.....

I had no idea what I was doing or where I wanted to be.

All I knew was that I didnt want to work for someone else anymore and that I loved dogs.

I had experience with animals from a young age and from working in vet practices in Australia to running a Quarter Horse trekking ranch in Canada, I knew I needed to be around animals again.

So after doubting myself and being told "just do it", I sold my car, bought an old policedog van and started advertising.

I didnt take long at all for clients to call and hand over the responsibility of taking their dogs out, which surprised me.

I never once paid for advertising, Teignmouth is a town full of furry friends.

Fetch quickly grew and the eight years passed fast.

I met some wonderful people and the most special was Violet, who came to ours for lockdown Christmas and then left her dog, Minnie, to me in her Will.

Sadly Minnie, who fondly became Minnie Pig, isn't here today but her memory lives on.

Remus and Myrtle have had the best times with your dogs and we are still in Teignmouth so will see you all about and about.

I never once took the job role for granted and will always cherish the memories your dogs gave me.

I just won't miss all the driving 😉

Today is a sad day, it's the last walk for Theo, Hugo, Lulu, Cookie, Alfie, Amber and Albi.

We had cuddles, lots of them, and we played hide and seek and mostly me hiding and them wondering what I was doing 😆

I have one more day of walks on Thursday and then Fetch is officially closed for business
