3 years ago Cuba & I did our first Detection Dog Trials Prelim trial. We got 2nd (88 points) and 3rd (87 points). I remember this so well. From doing small mainly indoor searches to now a large farm yard to search. It was quite scary but I knew he had the ability, if I didn't let him down!! I was very proud of our results and now i am judging DDT trials 😀🏆

With more judges recently trained up, I am excited we will be able to offer more trial opportunities for more people.

Fun dog show this Sunday to support Ferne Animal Sanctuary 🐕🐇🐈🐴🐹

Our 32nd annual dog show is just four days away. The team are busy getting the site ready to welcome you and your furry companions!

We are thrilled to announce that Cris and Jason from Health & Remedy and one of trustees Bob, will be joining us as this year’s Dog Show judges!

Many Chard locals will recognise Cris and Jason and will be just as excited as us to see them on the day, bringing lots of personality and fun to the judging process. Thank you!

Bramley had his first zoopharmacognosy session with Hounding Around last week. He was very clear on what he wanted and what he didn't. I really find it so interesting that our dogs know what they need to help support them ❤️ It's really helped Hallie as well 🐕

🐶 One week to go! There’s still time to apply for our Intermediate Dog Behaviour and Training course.

Starting Monday 7 September, this 3 week evening course explores common behaviour challenges including separation anxiety, resource guarding and dog-to-dog aggression, as well as canine communication and natural behaviour led by an experienced Clinical Animal Behaviourist from Paws4Teaching .

What a brilliant afternoon at Summer School. This session was teaching dog parkour. This is a fun but really useful skill of learning about body awareness, confidence-building, and giving the dogs a physical and mental workout 💪 🐕
