Garden Tortoises

Garden Tortoises Tortoise breeders in Somerset. Hermanns, Marginated and Horsfield hatchlings available. Collect from Taunton in Somerset or North Bristol.

Garden Tortoises have been breeding Mediterranean tortoises for over 10 years and have kept them even longer. We offer some of the healthiest and best value hatchlings available in the UK. Our adult tortoises are all kept free range in the garden and fed only natural weeds. By cutting out the middleman, we can keep the cost of your new tortoise down and supply you the information and insight that

you wouldn't get from anyone but experienced breeders. All of our tortoises are captive bred in the UK and come with the required 'Article 10' certificates. Feel free to message or call us for more information on keeping tortoises, we're happy to help and can supply you with our care advice documents. We like to think the hardest part about buying a tortoise from us, is picking which ones to take home!

🐢Big news for tortoise keepers and sellers! From today, 3 Mediterranean tortoise species: Spur-thighed (Testudo graeca), Hermann's (Testudo hermanni), and Marginated (Testudo marginata) will no longer require A10 certificates for captive-bred specimens for domestic commercial use. Marking will also no longer be required under the Wildlife Trade Regulations.

If you already hold an A10 certificate for these species, don't worry - it remains valid and should be kept as proof of legal acquisition.
