One of my favourite parts of this job is getting to watch your babies grow up. 🥹🐾

Feels like yesterday I met this sweet little girl for the first time, and now look at her! ❤️

Feeling eternally grateful that this is the view from my “office”

For most of my adult life, I thought work was supposed to make you a little bit miserable. That it was normal to spend your week counting down the days until the weekend. But I refused to accept that as my reality.

When I started working with animals, I almost felt like I was somehow… cheating? How could this be a “real job” when it brings me so much joy, and it’s probably how I’d want to spend most of my time regardless of whether or not I could make a career out of it.

But over time, the imposter syndrome softened and I realised that I’d just found something I genuinely love doing.

Of course there are hard days and challenges, but getting to spend my days caring for animals, and building relationships with wonderful pets and their owners is something I’ll never take for granted.

If there’s one thing this journey has taught me, it’s that life is far too short to spend it doing something that makes you miserable. Following your passions can be scary, and sometimes your path won’t make sense to anyone but you, but the things that light you up are worth taking a chance on.

Thank you to every single person who has trusted me with their furry family members and supported me along the way. I appreciate you more than you’ll ever know. ❤️🐾

Had the best time looking after this lovely pair 💛 Very different in size, but definitely equal in personality!

Was so nice meeting these new doggy clients this week, already looking forward to seeing them both again soon! 🐶

Hi, I’m Hatty - the face behind Wag and Bone! 🐾

If you’re new here, I thought it was time I reintroduced myself!

I’m based in Taunton and have been working with dogs professionally for around 5 years, alongside 10+ years of owning and caring for animals of my own. Over that time I’ve looked after all sorts, from dogs and cats to birds, chickens, reptiles and small furries!

I am fully insured, hold a Diploma in Pet Psychology and am trained and certified in Canine First Aid. I have experience with a wide range of animals, including nervous or reactive dogs, and pets with different health conditions, dietary requirements and medication needs.

Most importantly, I genuinely love what I do. For me, it’s not just about getting the job done, it’s about making sure your pets feel safe, settled, and as relaxed as possible while you’re away. I know how important that peace of mind is, and I don’t take that trust lightly. I’m so grateful to every one of you who trusts me with your pets 🤍

I offer overnight pet sitting, day care and drop-in visits, all from your pet’s home so they can keep their familiar routine and stay comfortable in a space they know.

If you’re looking for someone experienced, reliable, and who will truly care for your pets as if they were my own, feel free to message me, I’m always happy to chat 🐶

Hatty x

🐾 New Service for Existing Clients – Nail Trimming Now Available! 🐾

✨ I’m really pleased to say that I’m now offering nail trimming as an add-on service for my existing dog walking and pet sitting clients 🐶

🐾 Why Nail Clipping Matters
Keeping your dog’s nails at a healthy length is really important for their comfort and wellbeing. If nails get too long, it can affect how they walk, put extra strain on their joints, and become painful over time. Regular trims help keep them comfortable, mobile, and happy.

🏡 A Calm, Familiar Environment
Having your dog’s nails trimmed at home helps avoid the stress of travelling to a groomers or unfamiliar environment. Your dog stays in a space they already feel safe and relaxed in, and it’s done by someone they already know and trust, which can make the whole experience much calmer and more positive.
I always take a calm, gentle approach. I work at your dog’s pace, using lots of positive reinforcement, patience, and reassurance to make the experience as stress-free as possible.

🐶 Starting Young Matters
Getting dogs used to having their nails handled and trimmed from a young age makes a huge difference. It helps build confidence and sets them up for stress-free grooming throughout their life.

💷 Pricing
• £12 when added onto a walk or drop-in visit
• £16 as a standalone visit

💬 How to Book
If you’d like to add nail clipping onto your dog’s regular service, just drop me a message!

**Because I work alone, I’m not able to clip nails for dogs who are very reactive or distressed by the process, as I can’t safely restrain and clip at the same time. Your dog’s safety and wellbeing always comes first.

Recently had the pleasure of looking after this little treasure! Only 10 weeks old and the sweetest little bundle of joy (and teeth🤣🦈)

I offer puppy drop-ins and puppy sitting for little ones who aren’t quite ready for big walks yet. The early months of development are so important, so I make sure to stick closely to their routine, regular toilet breaks, feeding schedules, gentle play, rest time and maintaining basic training.

Consistency and care make such a difference at this age when pups are still learning boundaries and figuring out the new world around them. 🐾
