Stunning, cheeky, playful and super soft - that's Charlie and Jasper in a nutshell!

These two gorgeous brothers are freshly up for rehoming and would love to beat the 'black cat' superstitions and find a home as soon as they can. Charlie and Jasper are a loveable pair of brothers who can usually be found snuggled up together in one mixed up pile of cat, zooming around after each other in their pen, or sharing a shelf that is definitely too small for two despite all the other options!

If you're looking for a pair of charming boys who will bring entertainment, love and twice as much joy, look no further. Read more about Charlie and Jasper and how you can apply to adopt them here: https://shorturl.at/p7ORS

We are looking for a new team member to join us as an Animal Care Assistant.
Working hours: 15 hours per week - Every Saturday & Sunday.

As an Animal Care Assistant, you'll be at the heart of our mission helping rescued animals recover, rebuild trust and find their forever homes. No two days are the same, it's hands-on, rewarding and sometimes tough, but always worth it!

What will help you succeed in this role:
Essential - Experience working with animals, particularly dogs, in a professional or voluntary capacity (not as a pet owner). We are particularly interested in hearing from you if you have experience of working in a similar setting.

Resilience - some of our animals have been through trauma, and need patience and compassion.

Practicality - you'll be outdoors in all weathers, mucking in as part of the team.
Communication skills - working with colleagues, volunteers and the public is a big part of the role.

Adaptability - animal care can be unpredictable, so you'll need to stay calm under pressure

IT confidence - you'll use digital records to track each animal's journey.

Transport - We are located in a rural area with limited public transport. It is therefore important you have your own means of transport to travel to and from work.

Desirable: Animal care qualifications.
Driving licence.
Handling of challenging dogs.

Good Luck!

Working at the RSPCA provides an opportunity to get involved in a variety of ways to support our mission. Muse and Chappell are a sister duo with regal characters, hypnotising eyes and maybe the longest legs we've ever seen!

These two beautiful cats are social, friendly and enjoy the company of people. Muse is the ringleader and first to let you know if she's not had enough attention or treats, while Chappell sits gently in the corner patiently waiting for her turn.
They are looking for a home together as the only pets, and where they can run the roost. Muse and Chappell could live with older children, especially if they're willing to get involved in some play!

🌈🐾 Happy Pride Month! 🐾🌈

June is Pride Month - a time to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community, honour the progress that has been made, and continue striving for a world where everyone is treated with kindness, dignity and respect.

At our centre, we believe love, compassion and acceptance should reach every person and every animal, and we're proud to show our support this Pride Month. ❤️

We're excited to be taking part in the Pride parades in London (4 July) and Brighton & Hove (1 August) once again this year. Colleagues who have marched before have described it as an inspiring, uplifting experience, and we can't wait to join the celebrations again.

Throughout June, we'll be sharing some wonderful Pride-themed photos of our animals, and who better to kick things off than our fabulous boy Quincy! 🌟 Looking handsome in his Pride bandana, Quincy is spreading love, colour and positivity while still searching for his forever home.

Could you be the one to give this special boy the happy ending he deserves? 🏡💖

💙 A Huge Thank You to Ken! 💙

We are incredibly grateful to the wonderful people who go above and beyond to support our Centre.

Today, we'd like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Ken for his very generous donation. Support like this makes a real difference.

It was a pleasure to welcome Ken to the Centre for a tour, and we hope he enjoyed seeing first-hand the work we do and learning more about the positive impact his kindness will have.

From everyone at the Centre, thank you, Ken, for your generosity and support. We truly appreciate it! 😊

What's black and white and looking for a new home? It's Ninja! 😸

Ninja is a gorgeous young cat who really loves a gentle fuss, a lap to roll on is even better! Initially quite nervous, Ninja has blossomed into a lively cat who can usually be found in a very comfortable looking nap position, zooming around after a toy, or letting you know very loudly that it's almost dinner time.
Ninja is a sensitive soul who responds really well to a gentle and patient approach, kindly rewarded with bountiful affection.
Ninja prefers soil in his litter tray rather than standard pellets or grit, which is something that would need to continue in a new home to help him feel safe and understood. We hope that means he will make an excellent gardening assistant one day!

When puppy Julie arrived at the centre, her eyes were so sore she could hardly bear to open them. 💔 Thankfully, with ongoing treatment and an operation planned for when she is old enough, Julie now has a bright future ahead of her. 🌟

Julie is a Chongqing puppy – a small type of mastiff – and she's now searching for a loving home relatively local to us so she can return for her eye operation when the time comes.
She's currently thriving in an amazing foster home, where she's learning important life skills and settling beautifully into family life. Julie is a resilient, fabulous young dog who takes everything in her stride, approaching life with curiosity, confidence, and a wagging tail.

🐱 Living happily with cats
🐶 Friendly with another dog
🏡 Loves being involved in everyday family life

Her fosterer is working on her basic training, but as she is still very much a puppy, her future adopters will need the time and commitment to continue her training and socialisation using reward-based methods.

🚗 Although not yet very experienced in the car, Julie travels well.
⏰ She isn't ready to be left for long periods yet, so she needs a home where someone is around most, if not all, of the time while she continues to build confidence and routine.
Julie could live with:
✔️ Cats that are comfortable around dogs
✔️ Another friendly, confident dog
✔️ Children of secondary school age and above
Julie has a condition called cherry eye and will need to return to the centre for corrective surgery when she is a little older. Because of this, we are looking to place her in foster with a view to adopt once her surgery has been completed. Potential adopters will need to sign up as fosterers and ideally live within an hour of the Centre.
Julie is a smashing girl who loves greeting everyone she meets. She's affectionate, curious, full of personality, and always wants to be part of the action.
If you're looking for a fun, loving puppy and are ready to help her continue growing into a well-rounded adult dog, Julie could be the perfect addition to your family. ❤️
