The County Veterinary Clinic was established in January 2005 by veterinary surgeons Rachel Haslett & Dan Holden, with the sole intention of providing the same high standard of care for their patients that they would expect for their own pets, run by a friendly, compassionate and approachable team. As our aim is to provide the highest standard of care and service to you and your pet, we place a real emphasis on investing in high quality equipment and facilities, as well as updating the knowledge and skills of our staff through continuing professional development and training. We provide a comprehensive veterinary care service, and have extensive facilities and equipment available to enable us to investigate and treat more complex problems if required. We are also one of only a handful of veterinary practices in the UK to have a specialist in veterinary anaesthesia and pain management as one of our staff.

Today we had in the small but mighty Dougie for a dental!

He was a very brave boy, we ended removing multiple teeth.

Picture 3 is of his x-rays which show his lower molars have begun to resorb. This is a painful process which can happen below the gum line, out of sight. This is why dental x-rays are useful diagnostic tool!

We had Kitty the cat in for a dental yesterday.

We had to extract just the one wobbly tooth. Then scaled and polished all the rest.

For a 15 year old cat her teeth were in pretty good condition!

One of our diabetic patients, this is Oakley ☺️

He came in for a Libre monitor fitting. This device gives glucose readings to the owners in real time and omits the need for the patient to come to the clinic for glucose curves.

As you can see he is the sweetest boy and always very well behaved! All the staff are in love with him!

Doesn’t he look fetching in his t-shirt? 🫶🏻
