Having worked in boarding kennels in the past we know how stressful it can be for both dogs and their owners which is why we have set up the home boarding and day care. During their stay you can rest assured that your furry friend will be in a comfortable home environment that is both fully licenced and insured and treated as one of our own. We are extrem

ely lucky to be situated on the edge of the somerset levels with acres of fields canal paths and national trust sites very close by which will provide your pets with beautiful and exciting walks during their stay. All breeds and sizes are welcome here but must be child and dog friendly (unless on the dangerous dogs list) and we are also in a position to welcome dogs that are a raw diet as well as other diets.

Wow how are we almost at the end of August already? The last few months have been tricky with the repeated heatwaves, road closures and more recently Narla recovering from her spay, but we made the best of it and got through them. Thank you all for being so patient with time changes and cancellations where needed.
Don't forget we are closed for the bank holiday, back on the 1st September.

Muzzle training. The one thing I recommend for every dog no matter their size, breed or personality is to teach your dog to wear a muzzle especially if you have a breed that has a negative reputation. Even the sweetest dog can resort to using teeth if they feel they have to, particularly if they are in pain.
Narla has been doing her muzzle training ready for when she goes to be spayed, today we had to put it on for an unexpected vet visit as she has managed to hurt herself this week and I didn't know how she would be with the vet touching her sore areas. Turns out she didn't once try to use teeth and instead gave the vet the biggest stink eye going. Now it is back to building even more positive experiences in the muzzle to make sure she doesn't see it as a sign of bad things coming.

BOARDING 2027

If you are already on our books (must have completed a meet and greet and trials), have 1 dog and haven't yet sent over your boarding dates for 2027 please pop them over asap. I am currently working my way through them, anything we can't accommodate at the moment can be added to our cancellation list.

For those waiting for info on when our books may reopen for new pups we will be assessing this after the summer holidays. :)

Today is Hillview's 10th Birthday. What started as a bit of dog walking 13years ago became much bigger than we ever anticipated.

Lottie is the reason the boarding and daycare ever started so we are incredibly grateful she is still with us to reach this milestone, how many more milestones we will get to share I don't know but today we celebrate one of the best business partners that made Hillview come to life. ❤️

TUESDAY WALKS

Rec walk is currently planned for 30mins earlier than normal However...
We are a little in limbo right now as the van had to go to the garage as an emergency this morning. Everything crossed it is a simple fix and will be back by this evening. We will confirm plans as soon as we can.

Huge thank you to all our fab owners. This week has been a combination on multiple changed and tweaked plans, very eary walks, cancellations and what feels like a million messages sent out.
We are incredibly grateful you have all been super flexible and understanding. If you have had cancellations due to the heat these will be credited back to your portal and will come off your July invoice, please check your account summary for the true amount to pay. Fingers crossed the hottest of the summer will have ended by the end of this week.

A little positive is it did give a stunning sunset last night. 🤣

Unfortunately there are hints amongst some of the weather apps that we maybe hitting the high 20's into low 30's again next wk. Atm we are hoping this isn't going to be the case but we will be working out a plan b and sending out updates over the next couple days so please keep an eye out. If these temperatures are correct there will unfortunately be changes and cancellations with dogs home alone taking priority.
