📺 GOOD DOG BAD DOG — BBC ONE

First aired in 2008, Good Dog Bad Dog became a hugely popular prime-time BBC television series, following Keith Mathews, “The Dog Guru,” as he took on some of Northern Ireland’s most challenging dogs — and their owners.

From aggression and anxiety to serious behavioural problems, Keith worked with each family to understand what was really happening at both ends of the lead.

With just six weeks to create a transformation, the pressure was on.

🐾 Challenging dogs.
🐾 Frustrated owners.
🐾 Six weeks to transform their relationship.

Keith Mathews, “The Dog Guru,” was their last hope.

This was Good Dog Bad Dog.

"We were at our wits end."
That's what Emma said about her reactive 3 year old cocker spaniel dog before meeting Keith Mathews - The Dog Guru.

They'd tried everything they found on the internet Watched the YouTube videos promising results.
Gave Walter loads of treats
Went to various dog trainers for advice
But nothing seemed to get to the root of the problem.

Every time someone walked past the house — barking like mad.
Every walk — reactive, stressful, exhausting.
Every visitor — another apology for Walter's behaviour, another wave of embarrassment.

Then everything changed for Josh, Emma and Walter after just a couple of sessions with The Dog Guru.

Walter is calmer, the barking stopped. Emma & Josh finally enjoy welcoming visitors and going on walks with their dog Walter once again.

No more apologising. No more dreading the doorbell. Just peace for both ends of the lead.

Keith Mathews has spent over 30 years helping families across Northern Ireland who are exactly where Josh, Emma and Walter were before being introduced to his unique “Calmness Leads to Reward®️” dog training and behaviour method.

Star of his own hit BBC TV series and over 50,000 dogs transformed worldwide.
His Calmness Leads to Reward®️ holistic method works when everything else has failed.

Forget about the endless treats.
Keith's proven, expert guidance gets to the root of every dogs behavioural problem.

If you're exhausted with your dog’s behaviour.

This is your sign that real change is possible.

Meet Sinead and her cute dachshund puppy Nacho. As a new puppy owner Sinead was unsure of how to best support Nacho through the early puppy stages so that he could grow into a balanced adult dog. Sinead was encouraged to attend our Done in 3 - Level 1 - The Essentials- Newry Dog training and Behaviour Course which was her nearest venue. Under The Dog Guru’s guidance Sinead was taught how to consciously dog parent Nacho with our unique dog training system “Calmness Leads to Reward” now life flows with calmness for both Sinead & Nacho. If you have a new puppy or need help with your adult dog’s training or dog behaviour issues then check out the many dog training and behaviour services we offer in Northern Ireland at www.dogguru.co.uk
