Colleagues in South West England are reporting a sharp rise in cases either confirmed or suspected. Wales has so far had fewer cases in the current season but there is a strong likelihood that this may change.

The severity of disease in sheep now appears to mirroring what was seen in continental flocks (Belgium/Nethererlands) in 2024 - with sudden death being a not uncommon finding

Please consider either a booster vaccination or starting a vaccination programme in the near future.

Heading into lambing season, it's vital that dogs are kept on leads around sheep.
Sadly, we had a ewe brought in today after being mauled by a dog on Hay common.
Please help us protect livestock by keeping dogs under control at all times.
