⚠️ INFO ⚠️Our Greenspaces team is currently investigating suspected blue-green algae at Earlswood Lakes and Priory Park, Reigate. As a precaution, we are urging visitors to avoid any contact with the water at this time. Owners should not allow their dogs to drink from or swim in the lakes. Blue-green algae releases toxins that can be very harmful to humans and our furry friends. It is likely to have been caused by the recent heatwave. We’ll be running tests on the water to confirm and will update you as soon as we know more.

Please pass on this message to fellow residents or dog owners that you know take these walks often.

Dog groomers standing together for the NHS.

This salon is proud to be one of thousands of grooming businesses following the government and industry guidelines, closing to reduce the spread of the COVID-19 virus.

These are difficult times and as much as we would like to be open, we must do what we can to protect our clients and protect the NHS.

We miss our clients and understand that they will be getting hairier, and being closed will have a huge impact on our small business but the health and safety of humans must come first!

Dog grooming is not an essential service and all salons, including home salons and mobile vans have been recommended to close to limit the spread of the virus, though we are aware some are still trying to work it is not worth the risk to have your dog groomed. Frontline workers are putting their lives and their families lives at risk to keep us safe.

Please Stay at home

-Only go outside for food, health reasons or work (if you are a key worker)

-If you go out, stay 2 metres (6ft) away from other people at ALL times

-Do not meet others, even friends or family. You can spread the virus even if you don’t have symptoms.

Rest assured that we will be doing all we can once we reopen to get everyones grooms booked in. Please stay home, protect yourself protect your loved ones and protect the NHS.

Hello everyone we hope you are well and coping ok!

We’ve had a few requests from customers for tips on trimming their dogs. Whilst we would advise waiting if you can (lots and lots of home brushing in the meantime) if you are desperate and want to try some grooming at home we can share some helpful videos. The lady that has put together the videos is a groomer from a Facebook grooming group that we are members of and she’s given permission for the videos to be shared.

Hiya everyone,
This is a really useful guide with good tips for brushing your dog (especially useful for those with Doodle curly coats!!).
I know that your dog is unlikely to stand as still as the dog in the video or be as cooperative, but please persevere if you can! Our tips would be:
🐾 put your dog on a table (they are used to standing on a table for grooming)
🐾 choose a time when it’s quiet or a place away from distractions
🐾 reward good behavior with a little treat, but give them a firm ‘NO!’ If they are being naughty
🐾 little and often is best for those that are not playing ball
🐾 keep calm and enjoy! 😁
