Sia:

Today we said "Goodbye" to one of our own dogs, Sia.

Most of you will know Sia because her head stuck through the gate at Dogzdaycare to give a good "yap yap" 😀 to announce to thin air that you were here to pick up your dogs.

Sia was a Rescue "pup" from Sarajevo, Bosnia through Islay Dog Rescue nearly 12 years ago.

Sia was a "sickly" wee dog for the first couple of years and we only expected a very short life span.

However Sia grew from strength to strength, she was fiercly independent and gave out her love on her terms only , but as the years passed by, visitors to the house were met with yelps of delight and pats allowed to be given.

Sia was like a "night watchman" pacing up and down the living room, looking out the window at night waiting on Katie coming home from work and Sias delight of prancing around like the Ferrari Horse when Katie's car pulled in was a joy to behold , mostly met with my patience or lack of "shut up Sia" as Katie organised herself, bags, laptop, coffee cup, mobile phone getting out the car.... coming into the house was chaos.. just the way we like it! Her bouncing around like a demon possessed will be greatly missed.

Sia had the dreaded Cancer and again we watched another one of our dogs wither away to a shadow💔 😢.

Katie hopes, as I do, that the "bridge" has our big lurcher, Finn, her big long lost brother, is standing tall waiting to greet her at the other side and Julie the Rough Collie is standing behind waiting to welcome her home 🏡.

Sad 😞

Finished my malky's Book today ...what can I say , I couldn't love this man more and be more proud.
Very few of us have the ability, courage or emotional intelligence to look at our lives, good and bad experiences and ultimately make sense of them . Malcolm's passion for dogs , his ability and willingness to open his mind And his heart to the lessons they have taught him , have I think given him the answers he has probably been looking for all his life .
His focus on standards have been a constant theme throughout his working career, Dogz Day Care would always be a success ,given his passion for dogs , the environment he has to share with our dogs and guests, and his vision..., Putting the dogs and Dogz Day Care community at the centre of everything he does.
His ongoing focus and pursuit of learning, comes from a desire to ultimately , ensure that he has the best outcomes for our dogs and those he looks after and a promise to himself that he would never be blindsided after the loss of his beloved Finn..
Your big Finn, our dogs and your doggie guests have taught you so much , but ultimately I actually think the love , dedication and compassion you have given them is unmeasurable ... You are their safe place ❤️

Well done my darling Malky 😘
