Zazu's first Prelim write up ✍️

It did not go to plan .......🤣

As his second time out competing I'm still learning how he reacts to everything.

Safe to say I really don't need long to warm up yet,so a mistake from me for over cooking him and giving him too long. Plus the time's running a little behind didn't help but that's out of my control.

By the time we got to our test he was a bit fried 🥴
Unfortunately he just decided he'd had enough and had run out of juice!

The trot work was good but canter was rather.......interesting 🙈 He's such a big boy and gets tired easily.

Lot's of positives to take away from today though so overall I'm super pleased. Today did what it needed too and I'm sure there will be many other 'Learning' day's to come!

We ventured to Little Park today with Zazu for a schooling session. Sooooo pleased with how he behaved,from travelling,to walking up to the arena and then his actual work 👌

At 6 and HUGE,this certainly isn't polished or even close to the finished product (if you ever really get there with horse's!) But my god am I enjoying the journey with him!

No music over the top as I LOVE hearing me talk to him (I never realised how vocal I am 😆)and no I don't like the sound of my own voice,just the praise I give him 😉

I finally feel like we're getting somewhere! ❤️🐴🦕
