Heatwave advice 🌞
Follow our top tips for keeping your pets cool during the hot weather! It's important to be aware of signs of heatstroke in your pets:
- Heavy panting
- Red or purple gums/tongue
- Racing heart
- High body temperature
- Glassy eyes
- Collapsing/staggering
- Confusion
If you are concerned about your pet please call us on 01792 842437.

If you have an appointment with us please ensure your pet is cool and there is air con in the car. If you are worried that your pet may be at a higher risk if travelling then let us know :)

We have had an injured dog brought into us, she is a small female breed possibly a jug and is not microchipped. She was found in the ystragynlais area. If you think she could be yours or know her owner please get in contact with the practice on 01792 842437.

We have had a stray dog brought into us. They are microchipped however we are unable to contact the details on the microchip as the number is not found. She was found in the Clydach area.

We are looking for a vet to run some vaccination clinics for us or help with consultations.

Are you planning on travelling abroad with your furry friends? ✈🐾

Did you know there have been changes to the travel rules from Great Britain?

Here’s what you need to know before you travel:

☀️ EU pet passports are no longer valid for Great Britain residents:
You will now need an Animal Health Certificate (AHC) for each trip to the EU!

☀️ Once in the EU, your AHC is valid for up to 6 months for onward travel
A maximum of five pets per vehicle is now allowed!

☀️If someone else is travelling with your pet, they’ll need written permission from you as the owner!
Extra rules may apply depending on your destination

☎️ Our vets can guide you through the process and make sure your pet is travel‑ready.
