🖤🐟🖤A Fantastic Native Pond Fish Option🖤🐟🖤

Rudd deserve far more attention as pond fish. The native Rudd is often overlooked in favour of more colourful species, but they have a huge amount to offer.

Because they’re native, they cope brilliantly with UK weather conditions and thrive in planted ponds. They also tolerate the lower oxygen levels often found in weedy ponds better than many other fish species.

Golden Rudd are available too, bringing plenty of colour while still keeping all the hardiness of the species. They breed readily, helping populations stay strong even with predators around, and one of their biggest benefits is that they actively eat duckweed.

You’ll find Golden Rudd in many of our pond sections right now. If they’re not currently in stock, we can usually order them in for you.
