FROM STREET CAT TO SOFA CAT

I'm sure many of you remember Simon, the street cat who came into our care a couple of years ago after someone threatened to poison him if he was returned to the area following his neutering and veterinary treatment.

Simon had been living a hard life on the streets. He was battered, bruised and in desperate need of help, so there was simply no way we could return him. Thanks to the kindness and generosity of our supporters, we were able to cover his veterinary costs and give him the chance of a better future.

Fast forward to today, and we've received a wonderful update from the lovely family who gave Simon that second chance:

"Simon is hunkered down against the storm and thankful that he is no longer a street cat! He is a fine addition to our household."

Stories like Simon's remind us why we do what we do. Seeing a once-neglected, threatened, street cat safe, loved and curled up in a warm home makes every challenge worthwhile.

Thank you to everyone who supported Simon on his journey, and thank you to his amazing family for opening their hearts and home to him.

Beautiful Tess will capture your heart…she's beautiful inside and out.

She was quickly adopted by lovely people who had another cat and unfortunately they didn't get on, despite all attempts to integrate. So it's with a very heavy heart that Tess has been returned to us.

If you're looking for a loving, affectionate companion then your search is complete. Initially Tess came to us when her beloved owner needed to move into supportive accommodation which didn't allow cats.

Tess is a confident cat who loves being outside, but who also enjoys company and fuss. Her stunning fluffy tail is so expressive and is one of the ways she communicates with you…a twitch or two tells us she wants something, food or fuss. But a few more twitches and a swish or two, and Tess is definitely saying ‘come on, hurry up!’. She's a darling and will enchant you. She's quite independent in some ways, but very loving and enjoys being stroked…not so keen on being brushed, but you can normally keep her silky fur looking good.

She's neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and has been fully health checked; she's ready to move on and find a new owner who'll adore her and be the centre of their world. Tess would suit a quiet home without other cats or dogs, where she'll have people who want to spend time with her after a morning out exploring and dodging the rain!

Four gorgeous little ferals have recently been re-located to a stables where once they are familiar with the area will be released and have a wonderful life.

They have been in our sight for a while and last week one of our volunteers caught all four and took them to the vet to be neutered, vet checked and treated for worms and fleas. They are now cosy in a barn out of this terrible weather with warm beds and will soon be promoted to rodent operators in a lovely stables environment where the will be fed, loved and have shelter

Could you be Stitch's purrfect home?

Who doesn't love a purry cat?

Meet gorgeous Purr Princess Stitch who has the sweetest, loudest non-stop purr. You can hear her engine start up as you enter the room. But life hasn't been kind to little Stitch (until now of course), she'd not been well cared for by her owners, ignored and shut out of the house; so vulnerable as a young, unspayed cat.

A kind person took her in until we had space for her, she'd not long had kittens, sadly we don't know what happened to them. But life for Stitch is getting better and better, she's now been spayed, she's microchipped and vaccinated…next step is a loving new home. This is where you come in!

Stitch is looking for a home where she'll be adored and cared for and in return you'll have the pleasure of the purriest cat on the planet. Stitch is a sweet-natured, friendly and playful young cat, who has lived with older children but we don't know how she'd be with other cats or dogs. That Stitch is still willing to give people a chance is incredible after being so badly let down; she so deserves a loving home.

This gorgeous community cat was TNR last week.

He had a wound on his neck so while he was at the vet the abscess was treated - now neutered, treated for worms/fleas and recovering. He has a shelter in the garden but secretly I think he will be snoozing on the sofa in the warm house very soon 😸
