🐶 TOWELS & BLANKETS NEEDED! 🐶

We are running extremely low on towels and blankets at the moment and our bedding cupboard is looking very bare!

If you are local and have any old or spare blankets or towels we would be so grateful to receive them. We are also always grateful for fleeces but don't need anymore duvets at the moment.

The weather has been fantastic for walkies this week - not as hot as we've had it lately, which has been a relief for our four-legged friends! We've had a blast out on the trails, making the most of the fresh air and keeping our doggies happy!

So, if you are interested in booking Ware's Walkies for your fur babies, this is how you can expect the initial process to be:

The 'Meet and Greet'
(free)
I would arrange to come to your home to meet you and your pups in their natural environment. I would bring with me the Ware's Walkies Service Agreement & Dog Profile Questionnaire, run you through it and allow them to get used to my scent. I would then take them on a short walk so that I can test their leash manners and see how they react to possible triggers while out.

Before the 'Official' walk I would collect the signed Service Agreement, discuss any specifics with you and answer any queries which you may have.

Remember - I don't do pack walks so your dog/dogs will get all of my care and attention.

🚨 IMPORTANT: Hot Weather Warning for Dog Owners 🚨
With temperatures rising over the next few days, we want to remind all our friends and followers to change up their walking routines.

Dogs can't sweat like we do, and heatstroke can happen incredibly fast. Here is how to keep your best friend safe while the sun is out:

🐾 The 7-Second Rule: Before you head out, press the back of your bare hand firmly onto the pavement/asphalt. If you can't comfortably hold it there for 7 seconds, it is TOO HOT for your dog's paws. Walk on grass instead, or wait until the sun goes down!

⏰ Shift Your Schedule: Stick to early morning or late evening walks when the air and ground have cooled down. Avoid the midday peak entirely.

💧 Water & Shade: Always pack a portable water bowl and take frequent breaks in shaded areas.

⚠️ Know the Signs of Heatstroke:

Excessive, heavy panting

Bright red or dark gums/tongue

Lethargy, weakness, or stumbling

Vomiting or diarrhea

How We Handle the Heat at Ware's Walkies:
Your pup’s safety is always our absolute priority. On exceptionally hot days, we automatically switch high-energy trail walks to shaded, slow-paced sniff sessions, garden playtime, and plenty of fresh water and indoor fuss!
