You don't need a degree in sewing to make a sewing business.

It just takes hard work, determination, and the resilience to show up every day.

When I started my business I really felt like an imposter, not sure I was qualified for the job.

But I've come to realise that there is not just one particular skill that you need to build a sewing business. The thing that I've found to be most important is the motivation and determination to keep going. The rest you can learn along the way.

I always hoped that as long as I kept showing up my business would fly. And it did.

These two "ready to send" jumpers were dispatched recently.

Both customers needed a zip, which I added retrospectively. If you would like to add a zip to any of our ready made items, just put the Zipper listing in your cart and purchase at the same time as the jumper and I will sort it for you.

I've got two of the pink+lime jumpers left, in a small whippet and small greyhound. And one of the abstract shapes in a medium whippet.

There are now three "ready to send" sections in the shop, split by size...

Rainbows feature in the shop all year round as we love colour! But it's Pride Month, so I just wanted to highlight our rainbow bandanas as these are really lovely if you and your hound are off to any Pride events.

In the first pic Nellie is wearing hers rolled up so it looks more like a jaunty neck tie, which is cute. We've also got our good friends .lola.beans, Harley, and who are looking splendiferous ☀️

You can choose to add a scrunchie for yourself when you order too, which you can see in the last pic 🥰

I have plenty of sewing availability at the moment so turnaround is super quick and if you need your bandana by a specific time just let me know and I'll do all I can to accommodate 🌈

And as a little extra I'm offering free p&p on the rainbow bandanas for the whole of June 🥰🤗

Today I spent the whole day making bandanas!

The good news is, all existing bandana orders will be on their way by the end of the week.

And the even better news is, now that I've cut everything, I have just enough of the seafood picnic fabric left for one more bandana!

If you fancy one of our ready to send jumpers but also want a zip, this is no trouble. Just put the zipper add on listing and the jumper listing in your cart in Etsy, check out as normal and I will sort it 🥰

I only had enough of this fabric to make two jumpers. There is one left in a whippet medium ( #9).
