Engagement is the foundation of good behaviour.

When a dog is engaged with their owner, they’re more likely to listen, stay calm, and make better choices, especially on walks. A connected dog = a responsive dog 🤝🐶

Moose the crazily excitable yet super loving dog 🫎

Big boy, big progress 🐾💪

This young Newfoundland had a jumping habit. While it may look cute, jumping is tough on a dog’s body, especially giant breeds 🦴⚠️

Because he’s still growing, jumping puts stress on developing joints and growth plates, which can lead to injuries later on. Bigger dog = bigger impact 🐶⬇️

In this video, we worked on replacing jumping with calm, polite behavior ✨

Smart training now = a healthier giant later 💙

Recall isn’t just about your dog coming back when there’s nothing else going on… it’s about them choosing you over distractions 👀✨ Smells, sounds, people, wildlife 🐿️🚶‍♂️🌬️ — real progress happens when we train around real-world challenges.

Empty fields can be a great starting point 🌾✔️ but they don’t prepare your dog for everyday life. If we want dependable recall, we have to train for reality — safely, gradually, and at the right level for the dog 💪🎯

👉 Proofing the stay is what makes it reliable, safe, and real.

🧠 What does “proofing” mean?

Proofing = teaching your dog that STAY means stay:
• 🏠 at home
• 🌳 at the park
• 🐕 around other dogs
• 🍗 when food drops
• 🚪 when doors open

Dogs don’t automatically generalize. Without proofing, “stay” only works in perfect conditions.
