Meet our Patient Care Assistant Hannah

Hannah joined Weighbridge in 2025 after being part the reception team in Carmarthen Veterinary Hospital. She is passionate about animals, big and small and spent 4 years in Aberystwyth studying a degree in agriculture and animal science.

Hannah is looking forward to starting her Veterinary Nurse training, her favourite part of the job is meeting all the lovely patients, helping to monitor them and being involved in the amazing work that Weighbridge Referrals do.

Outside of work Hannah enjoys helping out on the family farm with a big love for sheep especially her two Herdwicks Meryl and Beryl .

The lovely Murphy was in today for his 12 week post operative check following surgery on his knee.

Murphy had a damaged cruciate ligament so Nichola and the team performed a TPLO (Tibial plateau levelling osteotomy).

Murphy is doing really well and will be running around again in no time.

After a very stressful three months of recovery , we as a family can’t thank Nichola & her wonderful support staff at Weighbridge Referral centre enough for getting Archie back walking again ! You were so reassuring and helpful during the whole process ! Many thanks ☺️ xx

We received a lovely message today from Thor’s owner 5 years after his surgery . We are so happy to hear Thor is living his best life .

Owners message - Just had Facebook remind us of the photos from 5 years ago when we picked up Thor, our, then almost five year old golden retriever from you after his tibial osteotomy.

He recovered brilliantly.
Was back to normal crazy self within a few months.

And he remains fabulous to this day, despite being almost 10 now !!

He loves nothing more than a crazy run on the beach chasing his ball.

Thank you for fixing our absolute golden idiot !! 😂😂

Just wanted to drop you a line to pass on this “long term” follow up and our thanks again.

Some very kind words from Lily’s mum , we are super happy to see her back in her feet and doing what she loves .

This is a huge and heartfelt thank you for everything you did for our baby Lily pup, our fearless little whirlwind who, during one of her trademark skydiving moments (driven by her complete lack of impulse control), managed to break every bone in the bottom of of her leg.

Thanks to your care, calmness, and expertise, she’s now back on all four paws, still absolutely bonkers, still convinced she’s invincible, but finally free and giving me anxiety 😆. We couldn’t have asked for a better team to guide her through recovery.

To those no longer at weighbridge Swansea (Paula and Deb) please know your efforts meant the world to us. You were part of her chaotic journey, and we’ll always be grateful for the kindness, support, and patience you showed while dealing with a crazy Lily who just wanted to say hello to everyone, all the time.

Meet the amazing one of a kind Julia hiding under her hat!!
Julia has worked in veterinary since 2019, she started as a receptionist and soon found a love for nursing and she qualified as an RVN in 2024.

She recently joined Weighbridge Referral Centre and loves learning news skills from Vicky and Rhia. Julia loves every minute of her role and everyday is a school day for her at the minute, learning new skills daily.

Outside of work she enjoys anything crafty, you might see some of her art work on the windows in reception.
She also enjoys travelling around on the back of her husbands motorbike and long walks with her energetic dogs Envy and Aura.
Dislikes- sitting still
Loves- anything sweet
