🚨PLEASE READ🚨
I'm not quite sure why I have to keep saying this, and if I'm honest, I'm getting tired of doing so.
My days off are Sunday and Monday. Like everyone else, I deserve my time off. However, I still spend a significant portion of those days organising appointments, creating content, writing posts, answering messages, managing paperwork, and running the behind-the-scenes side of the business.
Imagine spending 4/5+ hours working on your day off every week. Most people wouldn't be happy about that.
I don't mind doing those things because I genuinely love my job and I appreciate every single one of my clients.
What I do mind is the increasing number of messages becoming aggressive when a reply hasn't been received within a few hours. Sending multiple messages in a day, or messages containing only "?????" or "HELLO?!" will not get you a faster response.
The reality is, I do not have to answer messages outside of my working hours at all. Yet I do. Every message answered after 6pm, every message replied to on a Sunday or Monday, every Facebook post, every TikTok, every bit of admin done in the evenings is time I am choosing to give to my business and my clients outside of my working hours.
I am one person running a business. Alongside grooming, I'm planning a wedding and honeymoon, volunteering, studying Levels 3, 4 and 5 in behaviour and training, competing in grooming competitions, and managing an autoimmune condition that already takes a lot of my energy.
Some weekends I'm away competing and investing in my education to become a better groomer for your dogs. Other weekends, I simply want to rot on the sofa with my own dogs, watch rubbish TV, and switch off from work for a couple of days. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that.
Please remember that I am a person before I am a business.
Messages will be answered as soon as possible, but repeated messages and aggressive behaviour will not be tolerated. If this continues, it may result in me declining future appointments altogether.
