Lovely high tide this morning

This week has been early starts, cool woods/river walks and reverting to pop ins for some clients. I love seeing them so happy. Heat has a massive impact on a professional dog walker, I am extremely grateful for my clients being so understanding and flexible.

I have a couple of spaces become available on a Tuesday for group walks in the area of fforestfach - Gorseinon - loughor - tirecoed village. 1 spot on a Thursday for group walk in the fforestfach - Gowerton - Gorseinon - loughor areas.

☀️🐶 TOO HOT TO WALK YOUR DOG? 🐶☀️

Dogs can’t cool themselves the same way we do, and hot weather can become dangerous very quickly.

💜 No dog has ever died from missing a walk…
…but dogs can die from heatstroke. 💜

If the temperature is 20°C or above, or the pavement feels too hot for your hand after 5 seconds, it’s too hot for your dog’s paws too.

🐾 Walk early morning or later in the evening
🐾 Always carry water
🐾 Stick to shaded areas
🐾 Never leave dogs in cars
🐾 Watch for signs of overheating

Signs of heatstroke include:
⚠️ Heavy panting
⚠️ Excessive drooling
⚠️ Vomiting or collapse
⚠️ Restlessness

If you notice any of these signs, move your dog somewhere cool, offer water, and contact your vet immediately.
