Had a manic day Got to redo fencing ASAP the mini keeps escaping on to the yard.... I so did NOT give him hay on the yard side😳🥴😲😍🤣another 2 bales delivered but still had a bale left so spread that between the compost bins and hay boxes so it didn't get wasted. I think they are starting to slow down on eating so will be on watch from now. Still not replaced anything that was stolen :(

I am trying to raise money to get CCTV up the yard to help my anxiety of the horses safety after trespassers have been spotted with feed buckets and halters during the night trying to catch them. Its really effecting my sleep and every moment I can't be up there my mind is constantly thinking is someone loading them up right now.... unfortunatly this year alone we have lost our mare to grass sickness that used all our savings for getting the c**t gelded. Then Noah nearly lost his eye which has cost a fortune to help save his eye which luckily we managed to do but still got 2 bills to pay and then he needs another operation to have a couple of layers of his eyeball removed to remove the scarred layers so he can get back to 100% vision. So he won't be getting gelded for atleast another 6 months or so :-( and him being intact is a huge factor of ever hoping to find somewhere else if we can't get the yard cctv etc to make it feel better again up there.

If anyone could help even if you can't afford to donate sharing will really help. Thank you again to everyone who has supported me over the last 2 years I can't believe that in a month and a week marks the 2 year anniversary of the horses being stolen and all the hassle and yard break ins since then.

I'm hoping to get CCTV up there ASAP and then start to rebuild the track system and paddocks etc and save up for more winter ground preparation etc. I find it hard to even want to invest up there knowing that at any moment I could turn up to no horses atall. And the anxiety means its no longer my safe and happy place that it used to be. And after 2020 I really really wanna improve everything and get my happy place back in time for 2021. And cctv means that then we could start investing time and money to make the paddock paradise we started nearly 4 years ago, putting up the tracks and paddocks lorrys of road planings etc would finally be able to start making dreams come true again, being able to replace tack carts etc and know its safe with the cctv would be great.

I really appreciate everyone's support and encouragement I wish I could wave a magic wand have news that Barney is safe and well (atleast) heras panels around the whole 10 acres with barbed wire, the track lines and road planings around the perimeter and main centre, paddocks in the middle, round pen for training, a grass paddock to ride in, cctv protecting replacement tack and everything we lost. And then I could feel safe and enjoy the horses again! But unfortunately I'm not a magician, and I can't afford to play the lottery to win. So its gonna take an awfully long time. And tbh I can't find anywhere to rent sole use around here cheap enough for the 4 I've managed to get down too so everything is on hold until I can get cctv.

I hate asking for help, But I dont know what else to do. Apparently a person with long hair was on my yard with a red feed bucket and a halter. please make others aware especially if around the swanmore/southampton areas.

Thankyou for reading and if you can't donate dont worry, shares are just as important, thank you for your support, especially over the last 2 years, some of you have been my rocks and I dont know how I would have kept going despite the Horses being stolen, and then the whole yard contents stolen in the break in in may etc. Witch having Smokey PTS in March, yard break in, Noah damaging his eye, i wanna put the last 2 years behind me and try and start enjoying them again, rather than dreading every visit wondering if anything else has gone.

Fingers crossed this way we can start enjoying the horses again, making them safe, replacing the stuff that was stolen, and stopping the anxiety when i am not there watching them.

Apparently someone with long hair was in my yard with a halter and a red bucket late last night, unfortunately the lady who spotted it was elderly & on her own so she didn't feel safe after she thought it couldn't have been me (apparently they were there about 25 minutes before she called her son) her son came but they disappeared so they were gone within an hour (empty handed), she thought it was me at first so she did not act straight away (because ive been going up after dark since Noah needed his 12 hour meds) it wasn't till she heard the horses running around that she thought something was off because my horses run to me.

Question is I dont know what to do now? Not to forget we had 2 horses stolen 2 years ago in a months time, and then 2 yard break ins that stole all the carts, harnesses, bridles, saddles everything. so apart from the horse's there is nothing else up there? I dont know what I am meant to do I can't start camping up there every night?

I'm about £500 off of the new set of cctv so I can't do anything right now either :(

Noah update!

Noah update!

For those interested here is a Noah Update!

So yesterday was the 3rd vet visit exactly a week after Noah injured his eye. The improvement is fantastic! Vet is very pleased and 99% sure we have saved the eye (because we found him like this on a daily trip to the yard on bank holiday monday a non emergency visit wouldn't have been till Wednesday, so we called the emergency vet to arrive within the hour, the vet is almost positive he would have needed the eye removed!) Anyway the inflammation has mostly gone and it is literally just the entrance wound left which has started healing from the inside out. We have another week of antibiotics and Bute and next Monday will decide if he needs to have the outer layer of the eyeball removed or not depending how he does over the next week. So he's still on 12 hourly meds for another week (good old keeping me going despite and ) and stabled and next Monday we will know if healed perfectly and can be left or if he needs the mini op.

My horse could loose his eye :frowning: i am so very upset. he has 72 hours to improve or ive got to pay for his eye to be removed. so we had to call the emergency vet out today - typical its on bank holiday monday & he had to have painkillers, anti inflammatories, antibiotics, steroids, dye in the eye & sedation & now we have to have no more than a 12 hour gap between medication for a minimum of 72 hours, if there is improvement this could go on for up to 28 days or maybe even more, & if no improvement by wednesday lunch time then we will have to pay for him to have his eye removed :frowning: me and the kids have been there every day since the day he was born, and im very much into natural horsemanship and i had let him be unhandled since birth, not halter broken everything kept naturally, on a track system, never stabled. self weaned from his mum (a rescued/loan 29 year old mare in to loose weight who gave birth to my surprise when i found him.) today i put a halter on him first attempt, no dancing around, no work on introducing him to it he just said ok mum i can do that. he was actually so calm the vet didn't understand and afterwards admitted she gave more than she would have done not realising he is nothing like ur normal intact 2 year old c**t! which made us have a drunk 1/2 tonne animal trying to fall on top of you which meant my back is ruined, because we also had to set up an indoor area in their shelter which hadn't been used and had overgrown with brambles and dusty mud that had to be got rid of to help him to heal :frowning: so bending over doing that fighting him to keep him upright, and when the sedation wore off he then got on his new bed and fell asleep, so i got to have a cuddle with him which was a first. I am extremely lucky that i am good at saving up, only issue is i saved up for his gelding and had to use it to pay for smokey to be pts and cremated privately and then just as id saved it again for autumn (gelding only recommended spring and autumn) then this happens.

The day started off great with a family trip out for breakfast, family day out at the yard ending up costing a bomb, and now i have 2 lots of meds to give a uniform shop to return and exchange a delivery that arrived in the wrong side for my 11yr olds first day at secondary on wednesday, and i still needed to get a trip to buy their school bags and stationary. 2020 has been really sh*tty, lost our rescue mare boss of the herd due to grass sickness luckily we arrived as it started and she was out of pain and off the yard within an hour with no warning and a huge bill, then we had about £20k stolen, every bit of tack from bridles and saddles, to harnesses and carts ( my eldest who has cerebral palsy cant ride so relys on a cart, which spoilt all the girls summer holiday plans :frowning: we had to find forever homes for 2 of the herd, although i rescued them to be rehomed to a forever home i didnt have a choice and they were more ready to go than i was to let them go. 2 years ago i used to look after 11 horses a day, 2 were stolen, 2 went back to owner (they were on loan) 1 was born that now may loose their eye 1 died and the whole yard broken into etc. can we just fast forward to when 2021 is better please?
