All About Second Chance Animal Rescue:

Hi my name is John, I am the founder member of Second Chance Animal Rescue in Crockenhill, or SCAR as it’s become known as by our volunteers & supporters. I have been caring and rescuing animals on a small scale for as long as I can remember, first at home with my parents, then from my own garden until finally in 2011 I was lucky enough to find a small plot of land in Crockenhill. Wherever possible we do try and find a new forever home for the animals but if that is not possible then they are allowed to live out their life at the rescue. Our ethos “is live and let live”, these animals have suffered prior to reaching SCAR, so should be allowed to have a happy life enjoying freedom and enrichment that SCAR has to offer. SCAR is registered with the Charity Commission. We are always grateful of any support anyone can provide the rescue with. We always need sheds, building materials, animal bedding, and feed. If you think that you could possibly help in any way please get in touch either by telephone or email. Anyone wishing to come and see what we are doing and meet the animals is more than welcome, but this is by prior arrangement only. Many thanks for taking the time to read this and we hope to hear from you in the future. John and all at SCAR Crockenhill.

✨ 3 Female Kittens | Available For Adoption ✨
💌 [email protected]

Meet adorable Smudge, Bramble & Gogi, three very sweet 7 month old sisters looking for their forever homes ❤️

These lovely girls are full of affection, curiosity and kitten mischief! Everything is a game, and they can turn even the simplest toy into an exciting adventure. Whether they’re chasing, pouncing or exploring, their playful antics are sure to keep their new families smiling 🥰

Each sister has her own little personality, and getting to know their individual quirks is part of their charm. They all share a gentle, loving nature and are ready to bring plenty of fun and affection to the special homes waiting for them.

With so much still to discover, these girls would love families who will enjoy their playful side, give them plenty of attention and help them grow into happy, confident cats 🐾

They would be good living with children. As we don’t know how they would feel around dogs, we would prefer dog free homes.

Smudge, Bramble & Gogi are looking for:

▶ Families who will give them plenty of company and affection
▶ Lots of playtime, toys and opportunities to explore
▶ Homes where their individual personalities can blossom
🚫 Homes with no dogs

If you think you could offer Smudge, Bramble or Gogi the loving home they deserve, please email us to express your interest. There is a rehoming fee.

Now Autum has arrived our wildlife needs your help too. Hedgehogs need that last good feed before they go into hibernation and all the birds will be looking for berries and seeds and especially food we have left out for them . Cats will be prowling so feed them up high if possible . All wildlife needs water so a dish or bowl they can all access and we can help them to survive the winter to come . Let's all help to protect our wildlife and see them through the next few wet, cold and freezing months . Together we can help them survive.x

Our Bobby is such a character and his favorite thing is ....food ! As some of you are aware he has been on a diet as he had put on a few too many pounds . He has certainly slimmed down and we are happy to report he is far more active again . We like to challenge him now and then and make him work for his dinner . The best one is a cardboard box as he has to work out how to get in it . He doesn't just destroy it but uses his brain to open it . Raccoons are extremely intelligent and very dexterous which is fun to watch . After dinner it's off to bed bless him x

A bundle of fur and a whole lot of love ❤️

Beautiful Luna is 2½ years old and looking for a family to treasure her. Calm, affectionate and super gentle, she’s happiest curled up on a cosy lap, enjoying cuddles and keeping her favourite human company 🥰

This sweet girl will happily become your little shadow, following you around and soaking up every bit of affection.

After being a wonderful Mum to her kittens, it’s finally Luna’s turn to be cared for, spoiled and adored 🐾

Her lovely long coat needs regular grooming so, she’s looking for someone happy to give her the care she deserves. Luckily, Luna loves a little spa session! ✨

If she is for you please email [email protected]. There is a rehoming fee.

We have a very special cat in need of a very special home. TJ is 11 years old and has been very spoilt by her owner to the point of being quite fat! Unfortunately he has passed away and so TJ has come to us. She is so sweet and loves a cuddle and would be ideal suited to an older owner with no other pets who are happy to carry on spoiling her with a lap to sit on and lots of love. We would love her last few years to be in a home. She will need to lose some weight so a carefully controlled diet is needed. She is a lovely cat needing a special place. If you think she is for you please get in touch by email [email protected]
