I attended a Cavachon Teddy styling webinar, picking up some new techniques and tips to bring back into the salon. 💕🐾

There’s always something new to learn in grooming — and I love continuing to develop my skills for the dogs in my care. 💕🐾

🚨🐾 URGENT FOSTER APPEAL – WE REALLY NEED YOUR HELP 🐾🚨

I don’t post urgent appeals like this unless we genuinely need to.

We have been asked to help with two emergency cases, and both dogs are due to arrive with us this Friday.

The problem is very simple: right now, we have nowhere for them to go.

Our wonderful foster families are already either caring for one of our dogs or waiting for a specific dog they have already committed to foster, which means we simply don’t have the space within our existing network to accommodate these two unexpected arrivals.

This is an emergency situation, and we need to find two additional foster homes.

We are looking for families who could offer a safe, loving home for approximately two weeks while we assess the dogs and work out their next steps.

Both dogs are small/medium to medium-sized, and ideally we are looking for DOG-FREE homes. I completely appreciate that I may be asking for the impossible here — so many of our wonderful supporters already have dogs of their own — but with Friday rapidly approaching, I have to ask. ❤️

And please remember, fostering for us does not mean taking on the financial responsibility of another dog.

🐾 Mikey’s Dog Rescue provides everything you need.
We provide the food.
We cover all veterinary costs.
We provide any equipment needed.
And we transport the dogs to you and collect them again.

You provide a safe space, kindness and a little bit of love when a dog needs it most. And you are never left to deal with things alone — we support our foster families throughout.

These are two dogs we have been asked to help in an emergency. We want to say yes. We just need somewhere safe for them to land.

If you have a dog-free home and could possibly open your door for a couple of weeks, please get in touch — even if you have never fostered before.

If you cannot foster, please SHARE this post far and wide. Somewhere out there are the two homes these dogs need.

I’ve been making the most of my time off and giving the salon a bit of a spruce up!🐾
All clean and freshly decorated, ready for all of my little furry friends to start coming back in for their grooms when I’m back to work next week 🐾 I can’t wait to see you all and I hope you’ve all had a lovely summer 💕🐾

A Little Break 💕🐾

Just a heads-up for my lovely customers — I’ll be taking a couple of weeks off from 14th August-1st September 🐾✨

I’ll be completely switching off, so I won’t be responding to messages during the first week. I’ll then start catching up on messages during my second week and will get back to everyone as soon as I can.

Thank you for your patience and understanding. I’m looking forward to coming back refreshed and ready to see all your gorgeous pups again!💕🐾

Two years ago today I opened the doors to The Grooming Parlour — and what a two years it’s been!🩷🐾

From starting out to now being fully booked months in advance, it’s been amazing to see the business grow into the grooming salon I always wanted it to be. ✨

A big thank you to all of my clients, old and new, for your continued support, recommendations and for trusting me with your pups!
Who knew it was possible to fall in love with so many dogs 🥹
